We stayed at this campsite for a month, and wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it, especially for anything more than a night. For one, the campsite itself feels much more like a Journey than a Holiday - our site was so close to our neighbors that I couldn’t open our awnings. The grass areas between sites is so narrow that you are provided half a picnic table. Second, the site obviously has some sort of aging; a pipe underneath our water spigot burst, and by the team we left, there was a small pond of water on our spot - the camp did tell us we could change spots, but that’s a hassle on its own. The clubhouse really is beautiful, but playing games comes at the same cost as going to a real arcade. The worst part of our stay was having to deal with the police on two separate occasions. One was some sort of domesticate dispute / mental health issue for our neighbors; to be clear, that is clearly not the fault of the site. But I had to call police while my wife (thankfully in the mental health field) de-escalated the issue for an hour. Again, I don’t blame the campsite for the issue itself, but a simple “thank you for helping” would’ve been nice. The second police interaction was when I had my brand new, relatively expensive mountain bike stolen from our site. Not only was the staff not helpful, they actually seemed inconvenienced when I brought it up. Their security camera showed nothing (maybe re-think the camera location and lighting), they didn’t bother checking the footage until I prodded, and left me on my own to deal with the police. When I swung by the office to ask for help, one of the managers couldn’t even be bothered to look up from her very important post-it notes. I had my bike stolen from their property, and they didn’t seem phased. If you’re looking for an overnight stay, I’m sure there are cheaper options. For longer term, I’m sure there are places that care a tiny bit about their customers. A couple tokens for the mini-bowling alley, or even a tinge of sympathy, could’ve prevented a poor review, but here I am.

Check my reviews, I don't really leave bad ones. The 2 nights we spent tent camping here were a severe let down. We have a KOA membership and have stayed at KOA's across 7 western states. This is the absolute worst KOA I've ever stayed at. Let me tell you why I feel this way: Our water spigot was non-functional. The pool was empty. Pumped dry. There's no fire pit. Not even a iron grill box. Dumpsters were all full to overflowing. Garbage stacked around on the ground. The site is so paranoid about anyone who hasn't paid using the restroom that you CANNOT use them if they are being cleaned because the door is propped open and you can't put in a code. The bathroom was closed at 830am our first morning and 1030 am our second. When we woke up we had to hoof it to a gas station both times. The site is so paranoid about you taking a long shower they use prison tactics. The water is so incredibly hot on the lowest setting you can only run through for a few minutes. We drive a large SUV and the parking for a tent site is obviously designed for a compact car. We were several inches back into the grass just to keep the hood of the truck out of the roadway. They wrote us a ticket. We asked about upgrading to one of the many empty Kabins and were told no, not without 24 hrs prior notice. Staff was un-necessarily cranky about it. I've never had a problem upgrading to a Kabin at any other site. Attitude or otherwise. This site is an unfriendly, unfun, parking lot by the freeway. Avoid. Stay anywhere else. Next time we go up to Utah Lake we are staying at the Utah Lake State Park Campground or the Lakeside Good Sam.

We stayed at the Springville KOA for an extended period (120 days), and will not be back. The property was poorly maintained throughout our stay. Grass in most areas was extremely overgrown, making it difficult to walk through even around our site. The dog park—a key amenity advertised on the website—was locked for the entire duration of our stay, only being opened during the final week of our stay. Several water spigots around the campground were leaking or spewing water for weeks without repair. The laundry facilities and bathrooms were consistently unclean, full of hair and machines were never working properly. Sites were not maintained at all—leaves, branches, and debris were left untouched for months. Sites are very small and extremely close together. Zero privacy between campers. You can fit a medium sized camper and one vehicle if you’re lucky. The pool was still filled from last season, it had not been cleaned or even drained and was filled with filthy, black water and debris— a huge eyesore entering the park. I chose to rate 2 stars instead of 1 because the clubhouse is a nice amenity to hangout and gather. This was the only amenity advertised appropriately. We’ve stayed at many parks across the states and this was, by far, the most poorly maintained. Despite its potential, the lack of upkeep and responsiveness to basic maintenance made for a very disappointing experience. Management should be held to a much higher standard for this being a KOA. We absolutely do not recommend staying here until significant improvements are made.

Okay so I'm revising my review and here is why; so over the last year or so my husband and I have been really struggling. It all started when we both lost our jobs due to a car accident and have had trouble returning to work since. So obviously bills can be tough. This place charges way to much. I mean really? You give me a parking space with some outllets (which the breaker flips all the time so my water has been frozen for over a month now) and a spigot, last time I checked for $620 a month I could live in an apartment. The whole point of living like this is for it to be cheaper. The street light is plugged into my outlet so I pay for it to run. They said it only comes to about $3 a month but shouldn't I still be notified or I dunno have a choice? We tried unplugging it but then our Wi-Fi became almost non-existent. I don't know the connection there but can't leave it unplugged. The Wi-Fi is garbage anyway. Every time a vehicle drives in front of my trailer the Wi-Fi cuts out. This happens on a good day about every 5-10 minutes so watching Netflix (or using the internet at all) is impossible. The bathrooms are so disgusting it's ridiculous. Every time I've walked in there I feel like I need to go home and wash my whole body, even the bottoms of my shoes, with hand sanitizer. I've been here almost 3 months and I've seen someone cleaning the bathroom one time. That's disgusting for how many people live here. The staff is extremely rude and very arragont. It may not be appropriate but my husband says one of them acts like she's sleeping with the boss so she thinks she runs the place. I get the impression that everyone here must hate or not care at all about the holidays because last month my husband was late getting the rest of our rent in and they threatened to kick us out ON THANKSGIVING! Who does that? So my husband spent all Thanksgiving trying to get the rest of our rent money in. He showed up to our Thanksgiving dinner at 10:30 pm, it started at 1:00. Now here we are Christmas time, mind you we haven't heard a word all month long, but my husbands job is kind of on a only when needed scheduled and this month has been slow. All of a sudden I get a letter on the door ( didn't even knock just stuck it and left) saying I have 24 hours to pay in full or vacate the premises but it has to be before 6:00 pm tomorrow. It's five days before Christmas and it finally snowed for the first time so it's freezing outside. Are you kidding me? They haven't called or tried talking to us or anything. I know it's our responsibility to keep in touch with them but my husband feels bad since he's been late almost every month. It's not like we're spending the money somewhere else. Our kids aren't getting Christmas because we can't afford it. I literally have like $2.00 in pennies to my name. My husband has had almost no work this month so I decided to borrow the money from my dad (his boss) for rent but he wanted to Christmas shop first. I honestly can't believe they are now for the second time trying to kick us out during the holidays. Don't stay here people. You're better off finding an old dirt road or something somewhere for real. If I had the choice I would stay...

So I am giving the Springville/Provo KOA site 4 stars to compromise my initial 1star and ending 5star rating. Below are my reasons for this varied review.

I am traveling with my family and we are pulling a 21ft travel trailer. We needed a place to stop for the night so earlier that day (around 12-1 pm) we went online ( the KOA website for S/P) and booked a campsite for the night. We specified our travel requirements and that we would be getting in after hours. The page said there were 2 available spots (back-in) that would offer electricity, water, etc... Since it is December it is of course very cold so for water to work you need a spot that has been cold treated so the water lines will work. Anyways we arrived around 1130pm, and after picking up our welcome packet at the office we headed to our designated spot. This is where things started to go downhill. When we located our spot someone had chosen to park partially in front of it so we had to go to their trailer and ask them to move. Then we were unable to connect to water as the spot we were given did not have one of the insulated water lines. (Btw we had driven past several pull-through spots with insulated water lines). So we were unable to use our toilet or any of our water inside the trailer, and had to walk over three rows and up several spaces to get to the restrooms. It was below 20°F so it was particularly unpleasant.

However, here is where it all turns around. In the morning I went to the office to discuss the issue with paying for a spot with water and getting one that didn't work. The woman in the office (sorry I cannot remember her name) was wonderful. I had barely spoken and she asked if we were in spot 121which we were. She immediately apologized and told us we would be getting a full refund. She informed us that when you do your bookings online through the KOA website it will automatically assign you a spot. This spot may not always be the best spot, and the office goes through the booking that come in and change them if needed. Unfortunately she just missed seeing ours, and because we got in so late there was no one to check us in or change our booking.

I greatly appreciate and value the customer service we got from the office of the Springville/Provo KOA. From now on when booking online I will also call...
