We stayed in Stowe from Canada to enjoy some skiing on a return trip from NYC. The hotel is exactly as the pictures indicate. It is definitely older and in need of some work. But it does have an 80s charm. The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean but not not sparkling. The staff at the desk were helpful -i would say average. The morning breakfast was very good, lots of options and very filling. The lobby is adorable, very ski lodge like and you have cookies and lemondade in the lobby in late afternoon which my daughters loved. The games room had a pool table and ping pong table ~ small cost to use it but well worth it for entertainment. The parking is excellent , outside of lodge is adorable. It was all decorated outside and inside lobby for christmas and looks exactly like pictures indicate on their website. The location is excellent. Took us only 40 minutes to get to Sugarbush , an easy drive and only 5 minutes to Stowe which is quaint. We ate a pizzeria restaurant which was fantastic. The restaurant in the hotel for supper ~ was horrible. I would not eat a main meal there again but breakfast was great. And the overall service in the restaurant was below average. Overall, we would stay here again as the price is right. It is very unfortunate that the owners won't put the necessary improvements in place as this place could be extra ordinary.

Ok where do I start, first off me and my husband had to live at this hotel for almost a year then decided that we needed to move because we were denied heat when the cool season came we were told that heat was a luxury the building is not up to date or code every time it rains the ceilings leaks and the tiles fall the fire department was called because the fire alarm went off and supposedly they evacuated every one but never knocked on our door to evacuated our room plus there were no fire extinguisher in our room our smoke alarm went off one day few months back and was never replaced we know someone else's who lives at the hotel who's ceiling leaked and never properly fixed it and there stuff in there room was mostly destroyed and smelled of mildew the owner and the people behind the desk were very rude to me and my husband and was told to stop complaining about things we were giving letters of things we were not doing anything wrong the restaurant owners kids like to run through the hotel and bang on guests doors and nothing is ever really done to them I would not recommend staying at this hotel and I do not recommend using a credit card or debit card because they will charge it when ever they choose with out your permission

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at Commodores Inn. First, when you walk in, you enter a cozy lobby. There are multiple couches to relax on. There are games available to play. Checking in was seamless. I was informed to my surprise there was an indoor pool! An added bonus for sure. This hotel allows dogs to stay in the rooms with their owners. This meant the difference for us between camping and staying there. Thank God they allowed it because the last night it rained the whole time and we would have been miserable. Comfy beds...fridge in room. Ate at the penalty box (restaurant). Try the Fried pickles! Delicious! Overall great experience!

We picked this place to stay for my sisters birthday weekend because of the amenities listed and seemed like a great deal. When we first checked in we were met with a friendly individual and check in process went well, decor was a bit outdated but nothing we couldn’t manage for the price. Unfortunately things went down from there as breakfast was not an available as advertised, pool was shut down for maintenance (saw in another review pool shut down a month ago and was STILL unavailable upon arrival), jacuzzi/hot tub unavailable as advertised, and the grille was shut down and unavailable as advertised. Room smelled clean despite carpet and furniture stains and ac was running so room was nice and cold. TV was rather small and did not offer anything worth watching. Despite no smoking signs, the hallways and eventually our room reeked of weed. Beds were incredibly uncomfortable and I felt as though I had been hit by a train the morning after. Requested extra pillows on night 2 to try to get some rest but was met with a rather curt front desk member stating “I will see what we can do”. Went out to the pond and outdoor pool to swim and kayak and 2 hours later we we still did not have the extra pillows. I went to the front desk myself and offered to bring them to the room myself to be met with, yet again, “I will see what we can do”. After some persistence and a 15min wait I finally walked away with 2 extra pillows. Overall only a few things worked, staff not being...
