The stay was “okay” for the purpose it served of a room for my girls and I to stay in the night before our wedding for the location convenience but nothing more.
We had a “suite” but it was just a typical room with the bathroom in the middle rather than the entrance. The room had 2 TVs, but we had to share one remote. That was annoying but nothing huge. What got me was when we pulled out the bed from the couch, the sheets were dirty. Not just a little, they were stained and had a lot of what I will assume were crumbs. Called the front desk and were told we had to come down and get new sheets and change it ourselves. Not a hospitality response regardless of what hotel you stay in (maybe other than a motel 6 or something similar) and not worth the almost 300 we spent for the night.
We had several guests from out of the state in for our wedding and we suggested staying there, which quite a few did, although when we called to reserve a block months prior we were told “we’ve reserved all the blocks for the year.”. When it was under the previous ownership we never had a poor experience nor did our guests, but that wasn’t the case the time. We had 1 call 2 hours before checkin to see if he could do an early check in (even offered to pay a fee) because he had been up and traveling all day from NY and wanted to rest and freshen up before the rehearsal dinner. He had them on speaker phone and wasn’t told “no”, he was told “check in is at 3.” and then was hung up on.
I will (and will tell my guests to) skip the convenience factor going forward and...
Read moreThe hotel was nice enough though our non-smoking room clearly had been smoked in at some point. The problem is the owners/managers have several children that run up and down the halls continuously. I asked the desk person/manager who was also their parent to please ask them to stop but it continued. I later found the children again running around and told them myself to please stop. It did for a short while but then I went to the lobby and realized this was only because they were now in the pool area playing and yelling so loudly I could hear them at the front desk. When they returned up stairs the running and stomping resumed. I later saw where other guests had complained about this same issue on Hotels.com. I like kids and understand that if you live on site with your children there may be occasional noise but this is disruptive and it’s clear their parents cannot be bothered to make them respect the people who are paying to stay here. I do not understand the positive reviews and genuinely think some may be fake. I will also be watching my bill as several reviewers said they were either charged or it was attempted to charge them twice. If it is even $100 more I would stay elsewhere. These owners clearly don’t respect their guests. Read reviews on Hotels.com before...
