I stayed at the Sun Valley Inn earlier this month for business. I brought my family along with me so they could experience Sun Valley. The grounds and hotel were beautiful and had a historical feel. The reason I am leaving a poor rating is regarding a situation I had when at the hotel. Upon arrival and as I was walking up to my room, I could smell natural gas. When I got into our room the smell was overwhelming. I immediately called the front desk, and had I not told them that the needed to have maintenance check into it, they would have shrugged the situation off. 3 hours later, and 3 contacts with the front desk, still no one had addressed my concern, and the smell was still very strong in the room. Walking the grounds, I noticed a row of gas meters directly under our room on the 2nd floor. In the 3rd communication/ contact I had with the front desk told them I wanted to change rooms. Read moreVery nice places to stay. Good sized rooms. Love the bathroom and "walk in" closet. Plenty of good coffee for the Kuerig machine, and there's a safe and small refrigerator as well. Bed was ok, and pillows ok as well. There were form pillows (for me they were hard) and softer pillows. The shower is beautiful, but you have to step in to turn it on. They do give you plenty of towels, which is nice. Staff was friendly and helpful....
