Check in was swift and logical. The building, main entrance, hallways, and rooms all seemed clean and reasonable. Location is fine but definitely far north from downtown Vegas or the strip. $20+ uber/lyft. No grocery store within walking distance but there is a corner store 8 min walk east. A few quickie restaurants across the way. Uber eats has okay options so far.
It is worth noting that our room had obvious history and repair of water damage in the ceiling (we were on the top floor) in two places, one a major repair, and the carpet by the front door had obvious water damage too. Otherwise the room was clean and the bed a bit soft but good. The pillows were mostly extremely lumpy with a couple nicer ones. Even though it is a king sized bed they were regular and smallish pillows. Decor was simple. Requesting more pillows was delivered promptly, and towels.
Mini fridge works well but was set to warmest setting, easy to reset to functional chill, so do that first if you plan to use it. Microwave works. Lots of plugs and even USB ports. Smart TV, so I was able to connect a console I had brought easily. Drawer space was moderate at best but fine.
Shower head screamed a shrill whistle for about the first ten minutes of being on. It self resolved but was surprising for the first while. Each time we tried it on it continued a couple minutes of shrieking before resolving. Bathrooms otherwise clean. Toilet seat was cheap tho, and you have to hold the handle down for a while to get it to flush.
Breakfast had some protein choices, egg bacon sausage, but the egg was over salted and tasted almost crumbly. My fiancé thinks it was poured from a carton rather than cracked from an egg. Pancake machine. Basic fruit. Some pastries. Seemed good but since I mostly do protein in the morning the eggs were a disappointment. The woman working the breakfast however was delightful and friendly if you approached with a smile yourself. After we showed up several signs were posted to not take food back to your room, which we ignored, because they blasted Fox News in the lobby on the TV and that is a horrible and political show, and I declined to participate in that activity.
Pool was hard to find (back door of first floor to the right a ways) and isn’t regularly cleaned of leaves. Hot tub bubbled on command but it never heated up. We gave it at least ten to fifteen minutes. When we asked they said it wasn’t open yet, but we’re were there in April and the first day we were there was 92 F outside so that made no sense to me. Workout room has a couple basic pieces of equipment.
Checking out was simple, bill delivered under the door in the morning. Checkout was at 11, we requested late morning of checkout and were...
Read moreFrom the time we arrived the little girl at the front desk had a chip on her shoulder. She was less than personable and very rude. It began with the check in process where she played senile. The stay was booked through our company. We got in around 12:30 pm not aware that check in was at 4pm. Granted we were still early. Any check-in is 3pm, but we had been traveling all day so I proceeded to ask if there was any way to get into a room sooner because we were exhausted. We traveled all the way from the east coast. She said there weren't any rooms ready because they were sold out the night before. So we sit down in the lobby to wait. While we're sitting there other guests start coming in and she's checking them in no problem. So now we're bewildered. I then go and ask her if our room was ready. She says oh you can gcheck in at 2 for an extra $50. Like why didn't she lead with that info? So I'm like ok you can charge the card on file. This is when the foolery began. The rooms were booked through Expedia so there's no card. So I say I can call my boss because the person that made the reservation was on their flight and wouldn't be in for another 3hrs. So I proceeded to call our boss to inform him of the situation and have him fill out the CC authorization form. First she's telling me she can't do it because she needs to swipe the card that I can put the 50 on a personal card and get a refund. I said no and what was the difference because she was about to check me into a room in someone else's name. So she proceeds to do whatever she's doing and asks for my ID. But what I didn't understand is what she needed my partners ID for. What hotel takes ID for anyone other than the person checking into the room? |Now I'm on the phone with my boss, and giving her his email. I literally spelled his name out because his email is his name. Then she asks for his name and I spell it out again!! She somehow managed to spell it wrong but it's my fault because she claimed to have never seen STEPHEN spelled with a PH. Girl where did you go to school? |Boss fills out the form. Now she has a problem with the form because he used his bosses card and the names didn't match. So now I ask her to send it to that boss. While we waited we just went across the street. By the time we got back all of that was in vein because it's now quarter to 4. Goofy was gone for the night and it was regular check in. |I will say the older lady was the sweetest. Very hospitable the entire time. |Outside of the check-in experience our room was very clean. Cleaning...
Read moreCan I give zero? We stayed 3 nights for a baseball tourney. We checked in late Saturday and checked out early Monday. We basically slept there we were at ball fields all day everyday. We had 2 adults one 14 year old. We never even brought his baseball bag, gear, cleats nothing. It was actually a lovely stay until i get a $250 charge on my card in addition to the room charge + 75 dollar deposit. I called and Dahlia said there was damage to the carpet and that’s why we were charged. I said no way we were barley in the room we take our shoes off at the door etc… she said there was pictures we asked for her to email them to us she refused. We asked to speak to a manager she refused then she hung up on us. We tried calling back for 15 mins to try and resolve this and she wouldn’t answer the phone. This is simply unacceptable behavior horrible customer service and i know for certain there was no damage to any carpet or anything else. Do not stay here especially if your with a sports team.
Edit: The first is a picture of the “cut carpet” the second is from a video they sent when i asked for confirmation of the room so it’s a still screenshot from the video, how can you tell me that’s the same cut/room or anything, the carpet is even different. You guys have horrible customer service you won’t talk to me won’t hear me out won’t show me that the cuts weren’t there on the 15th when we checked in. There was never even a child left in the room alone ever. We spent basically no time in this room. DO NOT STAY HERE, tournament directors do not use this as a stay and play absolutely AWFUL. There is the gm response is “that’s okay have a great...
