Surrey House Country Inn — Hotel in Surry

My husband and I checked in on 8/24/19. Ms. KT was absolutely wonderful. She's such a pleasant, kind & welcoming lady. This place is just right! It exudes warmth and down home kindness. We enjoyed every moment! I honestly didn't want to leave! I would choose this gem of a place over any of the big named hotels. We could have easily taken the ferry over to Williamsburg, however, I thought it was much better to have the relaxing and quiet atmosphere that Surry House Country Inn provided. I love this little place! The price is good. The manager makes you feel at home. Then you go in the room and WoW! I don't know the last time I found a hotel so clean and roomy. After settling in I take my dog out and start talking to the manager again. The lady is awesome she runs this place and does the housekeeping. All while making you feel at home. We were visiting relatives in 'Southside' Virginia, and heard about the Inn. It's a 1950s vintage structure, BUT completely rehabilitated with new flooring, satellite HDTV, and paint and fabrics. Thick concrete block walls muffle all exterior noise. And great (and quiet) air conditioning for hot August nights.
