BEWARE BEFORE COMING HERE. VERY POOR HOSPITALITY. Front desk lady/owner was discourteous and was even rude. Service all in all was extremely bad. We got room service after staying for 2 days. I do not know what the housekeeper was thinking. Extremely disappointed. Me and my son got back from ice climbing, hoping to expect a nice clean room. Instead we opened the door to an un-vacuumed floor with crumbs still on it. Towels looked like housekeeper just came in and threw them on there. The bed was the worst part. I got into bed, expecting to find some nice clean bedsheets but instead I found the same soil-stained bedsheets that I used for the past 2 nights. There were past raspberry stains on there from the night before, which should be obvious that it needed to be changed. Pillows also were not changed as previous stains were on there. Very disappointed, not even new bedsheets. Bathroom was extremely cramped, with the toilet just a few inches away from the bathtub, which was also very cramped. I don’t know if this is just me but when me and my son were taking showers, it felt hard to breathe in the bathtub. Back to the owner, she was very rude to me and my son, and we were making coffee in the morning and we opened the drawers we needed to get the pods and I went to get some sugar, but she rudely came and without saying anything, opened the drawer where my son was standing and said take the things from here, and not from the bottom drawer which had the things we needed. All and all, the entire hotel should be a 1 star.I have been to Ouray 5 times before and always stayed at comfort inn which is now quality inn. Should have stayed there this time too. We are back in the area as of December 2023, and we will not be going to the same place as we stayed a year ago with the...
Read moreStayed here overnight with my family in March. Check in was super easy, and our room was a delightful experience! We had a fully equipped kitchen, lovely, wood table with a bench seat that the grandkids loved! In the evening, they have a fire pit and the makings for s'mores. The marshmallows, graham crackers, and Hershey chocolate bars, were already made up in ziploc bags to keep everything fresh. This was the most memorable part of our stay!!!!! In the lobby, there were blankets to snuggle up in so you can sit outside and enjoy the fire pit while toasting your s'mores! The bedrooms were well equipped with nice dressers and flat screen TVs. The beds were quite comfortable and we all slept very well. The next morning, we went up to the lobby and there were several choices of hot chocolate, tea, and coffees. The fireplace made the entire room cozy so we sat and enjoyed our hot beverages and visited a little while before breakfast. Directly across from our room, was a restaurant with an all you could eat breakfast. The biscuits and gravy was to die for! I smothered my eggs and home fries, in the gravy, and still could not get enough! There was also yogurt, fresh fruit, several juices, bacon, sausage, and french toast with hot syrup. The food was excellent and well cooked. Much better than the typical all you can eat breakfast buffets. I highly recommend the Timber Ridge Lodge, in Ouray, because of its comfort, friendliness of its staff, especially Joe, and off season price options. Also, we left an item at the hotel and were notified within a couple of hours after we left. When I asked if they could mail it to us, they happily acquiesced. Just one more example of how they go the extra mile for...
Read moreWHAT A PLACE! We arrived in the evening to an immaculate room, with the plushest bed and comfiest pillows! I’m HUGE on the beds at places I stay, and this one did not disappoint. After sleeping like people who traveled 10 hours, we opened our front door to the the most amazing views the next morning. We had absolutely no idea the beauty of Ouray when we drove in the following evening! Although there was a coffee pot and amenities in our room, we traveled downstairs to the lobby where we were greeted with fresh, piping hot coffee, lounging chairs and beautiful scenic art surrounding us. I have to mention the lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the rooms are full size and I practically used the whole bottle of the lotion it was so good! I meant to purchase a bottle they had for sale in the lobby downstairs, but forgot! Make sure you don’t make the same mistake I did, and buy 3 bottles at check out. Brian and Julie, the owners, were extremely hospitable and friendly faces amongst the people who were also staying at the lodge. They even offer s’mores at dark around the fire pit every night to their guests! Our stay was magical, and we’re so glad we had the opportunity to stay at Timber Ridge Lodge as we chased waterfalls, rode horses, watched fireworks, and got to see a fire hose fight! We even saw a rainbow from our patio. Don’t do yourself a disservice, stay at Timber Ridge Lodge next time you’re in the neighborhood! You...
