When no one will answer the phone, or if they do will ask you to call back "no good English", this should have been a huge red flag. New ownership (mid-November 2018) has reduced already minimal services. No morning coffee or breakfast. No fresh fruit ever. Basic cable only.. local, WGN, weather channel and abundance of religious TV are your choices. Checking in to find a COLD room in the winter wasn't expected - no heat on at all. Single doorknob lock for your security (?). The Woodridge Motel was never expected as a 5-star but it sure isn't a 3-star now either.

The owners need to leave the heat on in the rooms. It took alot of time to get it warm so I could take a shower. Couldn't use the shower, sand and crud coming out of the hot water faucet, brownish colored water.

Nice quiet comfortable Affordable clean room. The owner is on site and are eager to help in any way to make your stay comfortable. Will stay here again.

This small mom and pop motel was a very pleasant surprise. The family owners are very friendly and accommodating. The price is more than reasonable and included everything we needed. We travel with 2 small dogs and this motel was pet friendly for a small additional fee. There was plenty of outside space to walk the dogs and numerous waste receptacles to deposit the pick up bags. Our room had a king size bed, mini fridge, microwave, flat screen tv on the wall with HDTV on all of the many channels. Wifi reception was excellent and secure. Bathroom was small but had a bathtub/shower and plenty of hot water. AC unit kept the room nice and cool with outside temps in the 90's. The room had recently been painted, new carpet and tiling in the bathroom. Also included was coffee, cereal, toast and fruit in the small lobby in the morning. We were very pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem as we had booked it with a little trepidation. We plan to return on our many...

This motor lodge sits along the National Road and was bypassed by the interstate's construction, and now it is a bit removed from the interstate and appears to serve an idiosyncratic range of local visitors, construction crews, and economy travelers. The facilities are showing their age, the bathroom is functional but definitely aging, and a relatively new TV was not working in our room. There is not a ton of stuff nearby on outskirts of Terre Haute, but Rose-Hulman is very close and there is a scatter of modest restaurants and some stores in the area, albeit nothing in walkable distance along the edges of a very busy road. For those looking for an inexpensive room and a place to sleep it is serviceable, but those wanting creature comforts or locally walkable food and sites will probably be better-served in Terre...

The room my partner and I stayed in had a leaking ceiling. It was the last room available so we decided to stay and either switch rooms or motels the following day. Later that evening I discovered cockroaches in the bathroom. The desk attendant offered to refund us only half of what we had paid. We reluctantly accepted this offer.

There was also a discrepancy on the cost of the room. The customer receipt and pending credit card charge indicates $75 was charged. My partner and I explicitly remember signing a merchant copy receipt for $86 and change. The desk attendant also insisted on a $20 cash deposit as well. I have stayed at dozens of hotels and I have never encountered a cash deposit policy before.

There are many other affordable hotels in the area that do not have leaking ceilings or...
