My first night here there was a grasshopper in my ac unit. It wouldn't stop chirping and it was loud. I asked to move my room and was told there wasn't another room I could go to but I could probably move rooms in the morning and that she'd give me back points. Even with earplugs I heard the chirping noise all night. I went to the front desk the next morning to ask about switching to a new room and they moved me... To a dirty room. It wasn't vacuumed, there was some crusty stuff on one of the pillows, there was hair and stuck on food in the fridge. There was hair and who knows what else in the tub. There was urine and toilet paper behind the toilet. There were no clean towels and the mirror had smears all over it. I went back to the front desk and let them know the room was not cleaned. Debbie was amazing. She offered to clean a room for me and offered more points to be returned back to my account. I waited about an hour and a half and she came to my room to let me know my new room was ready. She made that room sparkle. I was glad to finally be in a clean room without any bugs chirping loudly. I was relaxing when around 3pm I kept hearing doors slamming. I looked out the peephole and saw housekeeping in the hall. They were getting things from their cart, slamming the door, coming back out, slamming the door and this went on and on. I didn't say anything, I figured they are working I'm not going to bother saying anything. I did wonder why they didn't prop the door open. The slamming stopped for a bit but then around 4pm it started again. I checked the peephole and didn't see any carts so I opened the door to see what was going on. There were some girls in the hall and one walked past me staring at me as I was looking out trying to figure out what the slamming was about. I saw a housekeeper and realized they were cleaning again. I closed the door and went back to watch my show when, I heard them in the hall talking about me "she came out because she didn't like people talking outside her door" I opened the door again and said I wasn't coming out because of the talking, it was to see why the doors keep slamming. The housekeeper said oh my niece said you were giving her a dirty look... No. I wasn't. I wasn't smiling but I didn't give anyone a dirty look, it's just my face. Sorry. I was just looking trying to figure out what all the slamming was. Then she said they were cleaning and that's why the doors were slamming but that she wouldn't slam them anymore. I said okay thank you and went back to what I was doing. She continued to slam the doors after that. I let the front desk know what happened and she apologized profusely, offered to give me back points for all the trouble and said to contact the general manager. The front desk staff were all amazing.
I sent an email to the general manager and another manager a week ago and have yet to hear back from anyone.
I will never stay at this hotel again. I went for two nights as a break from being my 80 year old mothers 24/7 caregiver. She has alzheimer's and copd and I have no help. I was in desperate need of a break. This was such a dissapointing stay and to add to it, management never even responded to my email. Another dissappintment.
I don't recommend staying here. Also there's no pool, the exercise room is stuffed into a small room and the breakfast...
Read moreI have never had such a terrible experience with a business in my life. We booked 2 rooms for 4 nights and did so 4.5 months before we were traveling. I tried calling on 3 separate occasions to make sure our rooms were near another room booked under a different name. No answer any of the times I called. Not a big deal. This only becomes important because when we are flying into town, on our layover, I get an email. Not a call or even a text, but an email informing us that our rooms were being moved to a hotel over 30 minutes away. 4 hours before we were going to check in. And just our rooms. Not the other room we wanted to be close by us. When we asked what we could do, they told us “nothing.” After spending way too long on the phone, we learned that we MIGHT be able to get the room SOME nights. So, we said we would find other accommodations for that night and check back. (We needed to be close by for an event and all the hotels were booked.) We asked Fairfield to cancel our rooms for the night as well as the other family we were meeting and said we could check back the next morning. When we checked back the next morning, we learned that they “accidentally” canceled the other family’s reservation entirely and they did not have a room for them at either location. However, they said they could accommodate us all the next night. We really needed to be close to the event or we would have stayed FAR away. But after going to a different location, we go to check in for the 3rd and 4th nights. We say the 3 rooms need to be on the same floor. They said they had all 3 rooms in the same floor. So we go up to drop bags into the first 2 rooms. The other family arrives just after dropping our bags, so we go down to meet them. Guess what? No more rooms on the same floor. Somehow from the time it took us to go up, drop bags and come back down the stairs, the 3rd room vanishes. The other family has to check into a room on another floor. The other family also gets a notification that they were charged for the room the first 2 nights- when it was the hotel that “accidentally” canceled their reservations in the first place. We get into the rooms and they are okay. It is obvious in the morning, though, that they are not at all prepared to feed a fully booked hotel. The wait times are long. I felt bad for the staff working breakfast. At the same time, it is not a surprise that the hotel is fully booked. You should be ready for that. But we had beds to sleep on for 2 of our 4 nights. We did get food eventually for breakfast both mornings.
There is 1 elevator for the whole hotel and the wait time for elevators was so long. I took the stairs a lot. The pool was not available. The shower did have soap, conditioner, and body wash. So, it was especially odd to find a bottle of conditioner next to the sink. Not sure if they ordered the wrong thing but it should have been lotion. There are 2 roads to access the hotel parking lot but one of the entrances is not marked in ANY way.
I hope the hotel gets its act together, but I will be upset about this experience for a...
Read moreI deleted my previous review because I wanted to update on a few things.||This review is mainly for management and the franchise owner. ||My family and I stayed for 3 nights with 3 separate rooms. Overall it wasn't a great experience, especially at the price we paid, but not terrible either. All in all there are pros and cons to this hotel. Do not use the Wi-Fi as you will get charged for it. We were unknowingly charged numerous data fees for the Wi-Fi use. When you go to select the Hotel Guest Wi-Fi on your device, it doesn't offer a free or paid version, you just enter your room number and name and automatically get charged for it. This is wrong because the hotel's own website advertises "Free Wi-Fi". This is falsely advertised on Fairfield Inn/Mariott's website. Corporate needs to fix this, which I doubt would happen.||The daily breakfast was actually good but does get crowded at times in the morning, which is to be expected, so just get there early. The walls are thin in this building so you will hear every door open and close, water running, people, etc. At times during the night, people in the rooms next to us were pretty loud and one guy was yelling on his phone for about 2 hours. We didn't make the complaint to the hotel but it wasn't appreciated. Room cleaning is every 3 days but you can ask for cleaning anytime. The hotel should add a hamper or some bin in each bathroom to put wet towels in. The sheets were pretty clean despite a few small stains. The rooms overall were clean and had no odor of any kind. As with any hotel, there are always holds on Credit/Debit cards and it may take a day or two, after you've checked out, for that to be reflected on your bank statement. Our's was cleared about a day and a half later. ||Some Pros: Check in and check out was really smooth. Dio was really helpful in getting our bill fixed and did everything in her power to make sure it was taken care of. She could not have been more kind and informative. Everyone else who works at the hotel is also really nice and helpful too. They honestly have a solid group of people who work here and I don't have a single complaint about anyone. The lady who runs the breakfast was also really kind to us. They have a gym which is an added bonus. You really get what you pay for but I can't emphasize enough how helpful and nice the people working here are. ||Some Tips: Don't buy any food or snacks in the lobby as it's overpriced. If you need your room cleaned, give the front desk a heads-up and they will gladly get it taken care of. The hotel is based around being "green" and efficient which I could respect. Breakfast is from 6am-9am so get there early, it helps get the day started. Do not use the hotel's Wi-Fi.||We are not ones to make complaints or waste our time doing so and it's something I despise doing but I just wanted to leave my honest review of our family's stay, because this trip meant so...
