I’m here on a business trip just like everyone else. For my job, it is required of me to dress down/casual. In my time here I’ve gotten so many sarcastic and snide remarks from other guests about my clothes, such as asking if I’m “going on a run” and then laughing. Which is obviously very irritating, Considering most of these people here aren’t doing anything very important and probably spend most of their business trip drinking anyway. But by all means, wear that suit to the hotel bar!
Every time I walk into the front door, the front desk people stare. Why? Saying hello is one thing. But they don’t. There is no side or back entryway, which has gotten old when I’d prefer to avoid any interaction.
When I order DoorDash in the evening after work, I would like it to be delivered to my room door for that same reason.
The girl at the front desk never gets off the phone. Waiting five minutes to ask a question while she’s talking away is wild. If she’s truly that busy, then they need to get somebody else up there to help. One morning before work, I lost cell phone service, and so I sat down to use the Wi-Fi, which really wasn’t working well. I had to call my cell phone carrier for help. Conveniently, as soon as I started speaking on the phone, the music in the lobby started blaring.
Giving a three star for the rooms because there was lint all in my bed and the floors didn’t look like they were properly mopped or vacuumed.
As per service, the two gentlemen at the front desk were okay and the woman who serves the breakfast was exceptionally kind and sweet. She’s the only one I can honestly say seemed completely genuine. So here is a written five stars for her. Although as a whole, I would give the service three stars. Housekeeping was loud and obnoxious, coming around really early, slamming doors, laughing and carrying on. There’s a reason I have a do not disturb sign on my door.
Lastly, the surrounding area is nothing special. The price I paid to stay here was ridiculously high, and for what? It’s not Disney World. Just because there’s another group of people staying here on their business trip doesn’t mean I should have to pay twice the price of what a HGI would normally cost. Whatever everyone else is doing or whatever convention they’re attending is not my problem.
There is no coffee available 24/7, the only way you can get it is if you pay $20 for the breakfast. Simple amenities like that should always be available, especially for this price. Breakfast should be included.
No Sam Adams seasonal at the bar available, even though it came out two months ago.
Likely wouldn’t come back here to stay unless I absolutely had to or didn’t have...
Read moreI really wanted to give this Hotel a 5-star rating especially for the fantastic service I received from your customer service front desk team, however there were a few things that couldn’t be overlooked that I feel are important for a hotel stay. Let me start with the positives; the check-in was smooth and friendly and handed a nice little bag with two complimentary bottles of water and two cookies 😊. The room was very clean and had the usual amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There was a microwave, mini fridge, coffee machine and ice-bucket. It was a spacious room with a desk and chair and a separate chair as well.
The cons of the stay I felt were pretty unavoidable to mention. First the noise pollution in the room. Now I’m not a person who is a light sleeper but if you are this might be a problem because even for myself it began to weigh on my nerves by the last day of my stay. Once you turn the bathroom light on when you arrive, it triggers the air vent in the bathroom and even after you turn the light off the air and the sound of the air doesn’t go off for the rest of your stay even when you have shut the lights off. So I had to keep the bathroom door closed so I wouldn’t have to hear the noise from the bathroom vents air blowing. Also the AC/heating system in the bedroom isn’t so quiet. On my last day, there was som banging from the floor above me when I called I was told it was landscaping however I don’t understand why there would be landscaping being done inside the hotel 🙃. Very mysterious.😅
Other cons would be that they only clean the room every other day; there is no safe in the room which would suck if you where a local traveler who didn’t have a lock for their luggage there would be no where to store and protect valuables. And finally there are no drawers only two shelves and a space by the front door to hang your clothes. Also there was a leak I noticed on my last day by the toilet.
Overall aside from these cons, I found the price to be very reasonable $366 for a 3-night stay. The front desk was kind enough to allow me a late check-out to accommodate a promotional virtual interview I had, so I was very grateful.
Despite the cons, I would stay here again. The great customer service and the cleanliness of the rooms are paramount for me. And if you have never had Cracker Barrel be sure to stop by and get served by Denise. She’s the best. It’s literally right down the road.
The hotel offers complimentary BKFST however I...
Read moreThis past month we threw my Mom and Dad a 50th Anniversary at the Hilton Inn Tewksbury. Not only did we have the party we also stayed the night before. I will start with the rooms. We had a Suite which is two rooms in size. We were greeted with a "Hello Anna" on the tv in both the living room and bedroom. The living room has a couch with ottoman, a single chair to go with the couch as well as tables in between. On the other side of the room they had a dorm size fridge, a k cup coffee maker with coffee pods, as well as a microwave. In the bedroom was a very comfortable bed, desk with desk chair and a full bathroom in this room. The bedroom can be closed off with a door and there is air conditioning in both rooms. This hotel also have a restaurant and snack store by the front desk.
The Party was a huge success! We planned the party with Sharon and Melissa. Both woman were a huge help and accommodated all our needs and concerns promptly. The food was amazing, not what you would expect from hotel food. We did a brunch and so we had eggs, hash browns, pancakes, along with breakfast pastries to choose from. On the other side we had sausage peppers and onions, ziti with red sauce(which was not over cooked) and grilled steak tips!! The food was so good and everyone was surprised it wasn't catered by an outside company. As I said this is not your typical Hotel fare!
I also want to give a shout out to the chef who came in on his off day to oversee the food. He made sure all of our guest allergies were taken care of for our guests. My niece had to have gluten free pasta he made hers separate when she was ready and made a rose with a tomato and decorated it with basil to make it look like a full rose.
All of the people we worked with came and checked in on us to make sure everything was going smooth. we could not have asked for a better experience!!! I highly recommend this Hotel for a stay or a...
