Wish I would have looked at the reviews before I took my wife and baby here. This place is worse than prison! Run Away! I literally don't even know where to start. I have 2 official complaints with corporate now.||Let's start with the drug dealers going into rooms with the "housekeeping" girls. This is horrible for your guests to see. These thugs hang out at all the exits too, hitting on your wife while she goes out to the car. ||The hardwood floors are not even swept. Had to wash our feet after walking around after a shower. Just one bar of soap, no shampoo or conditioner whatsoever. They have a dog above us on the 3rd floor that has chew toys and bouncing balls that they play with at 7 am sharp. That's sweet to wake up to||After my wife complaining about it the first time they didnt have the intelligence to move them to a first floor or do anything about it. ||The second time I went down to the front desk @7:30 nobody there. Went down around 8am to get a pen (because they don't even have pens in the rooms) and a very rude dark haired lady named Amy gave me new keys for a different room, deactivated my room keys, and told me "you Are Done!!!" Because I asked another question. ||Now I can't get into my existing room and was just yelled at by the very nice lady that obviously should be working with the public, lol||I stay in hotel rooms all across the nation all year long||This place is a dump. ||Also, they have kitchenettes, but nothing to go with them. So if you are traveling plan on buying a set from them for $50 to use anything. ||If you get a double bed, make sure to get more towels and hand towels because they give you enough for one person, then when you ask they have a bunch of questions and make a huge deal about it. ||Each room stinks due to no cleaning or taking out garbage||You might as well rent a storage unit and stay in that if you are looking to save money, and you might as well give your wife to a gang or cortel too||Have A Good Stay||||Oh yeah, they charge your card for...
Read moreDO NOT BOOK!! For a smoke-free hotel, not good. We had to walk through a group of smokers just to enter. We were given the keys to our room, but were hit by the stench of smoke as soon as we opened the door. We quickly returned to the desk and requested a different room. We were assigned another room which was free from the smell of smoke, but offered very few comforts otherwise. The room had no artwork and in places, chipped paint.
The kitchenette had no dishes, utensils, or pans, which usually comes in an extended stay suite. I noticed that one could purchase/rent a set from the check-in desk for an additional fee.
The bed were set on exposed, elevated metal frames, like used in college dorms, which provided ample space for storing luggage, and perhaps intended to replace the lack of closet in the room.
We decided to not stay the night and were in the hotel for less than an hour. The staff at the desk told us that we would be charged for the one night and that we could discuss an additional refund with the General Manager Kathy Wilson. The staff member provided the contact information to call back in the morning.
The next day we called to talk to Kathy and told that she was not available. The Assistant Manager, Aubrey, listened to our experience and said that she would discuss it with Kathy and call back. She never returned the call.
After 10 days, while reviewing my credit card statement, I discovered that I had been charged for the full 4-day stay. Again, we spoke with Aubrey about the matter. She said that a credit would be submitted for the additional three days, but that charges for the first night would remain. She had discussed the matter with Kathy and because we did not cancel at least 24-hours in advance and we had signed the paperwork at check-in, the charges for the first night would remain. No further discussion or consideration was made. So I'm leaving my review so you can avoid a...
Read morePlease take the 30 seconds to read this review before you book at this hotel. There is a reason why there are so many 1 star reviews; I am about to expand upon our two nights here. We stayed here with our friends, all in our mid 20s. We don’t require anything special in terms of luxury, but there are standards to be expected when you are paying $200/night for a hotel. Let me explain:
This entire hotel smells like wet dog mixed with garbage. This is not an exaggeration; go and look at the other reviews. The smell got worse as we entered the elevator, and somehow even worse in our room. Our clothes still smelled of this place when we unpacked after the trip. Our room was NOT clean, not even remotely. Grass, dirt, and stains on the bedsheets. Dog hair plastered to the bedding. No pillowcases on the pillows, so we used our t-shirts. Black spots and stains on the towels. I wish I was making some of this up. Due to the condition of our rooms, I asked the front desk if we could get new towels and clean bed sheets. Their reply was for us to strip the beds on our own and come downstairs to get new sheets. They also were reluctant to give us more than 2 towels even though there were 4 of us listed on the reservation. I understand places can be understaffed but this is a whole new level that I have not experienced before. Our key card stopped working twice during the two night stay. Thankfully it was during the day, because there is nobody staffing the front desk during the evenings or nights.
If you are still reading this, please do yourself a favor and go book a room at Delta Hotels down the street. Or save some money and book a Super 8. Or stay in your car. This hotel ended up being an ongoing comedy bit for our weekend because it truly was a disaster. Take your business elsewhere and feel free to live vicariously through our two nights at the WoodSpring...
