First of all, many of these reviews are from the time when the restaurant and motel were under the same ownership. That has changed, and the motel retains the Bridge Inn name, while the restaurant on the corner is now known as Outboards. We were very pleased with our stay and the accommodations, staying two separate (but not consecutive) nights. We were traveling by motorcycle, and arrived our first night during a heavy rain storm; Vicky was gracious enough to let us park the bike under the overhang out front, out of the rain. Then, we were late returning from Minnesota the second night, and Vicky actually called to make sure we were still coming. That seemed very thoughtful of her. We stayed at three different motels during our trip, and we liked the Bridge Inn the best. It is kind of a "Mom & Pop" establishment, but that's the kind of place we like. It was clean, well-kept, and quiet. Vicky became acquainted with us, and then accompanied us to the room and showed us its features. We had a spacious ground floor room with two queen beds, which were not too soft, not too firm, but just right. The small patio outside the sliding door provided a nice view toward the river. There was a full bath including its own sink and mirror, plus an additional adjacent sink and mirror, so that two people could get ready in the morning and not be in each other's way. The room also came with a very good-sized refrigerator, plus a microwave. A supermarket was within easy walking distance, so that a person could stock up and save money on meals if you didn't feel like going out. Several restaurants were also within walking distance or a short drive. Wifi was available, with a signal so strong that I was still connected all the way across the river! Tomahawk is a very nice little town, as well, with a park on the other side of the river, bike path, and plenty of boating and fishing opportunities. We were only passing through enroute to other destinations, but wish we had more time to spend there. If you do travel to Tomahawk, we highly recommend...
Read moreMuna was extremely helpful with all of my questions and even offered us an early check in at no additional cost. (We had traveled through the night to Tomahawk for our fishing trip, were out on the boat all morning, and were very much ready for a nap) The hotel has a perfect location. It’s right across the street from the Wisconsin River. There is a delicious bar and grill next door with outdoor seating, a bait shop across the street, and across the bridge is a nice little park. The hotel is secure, you get your own passcode upon check in. There is a very large parking lot behind the hotel, it was plenty large enough for my SUV and little 14ft boat. We met a worker for the hotel upon arrival, I believe her name was Jane, she was very kind and offered us a special area to park our boat so it was more out of the way if we wanted. Honestly the only gripe I have is the water took several full minutes to warm up. I thought I was just going to have a cold shower so I finally got in and took care of business and when I was done cleaning the water was finally warmed up. Lol. We were in the room at the end of the hall so I’m assuming we were at the end of the run from the water heater. Great location, nice amenities, extremely kind staff. I feel like we paid a very fair price for our stay as well. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll be booking a room here...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem of the Northwoods. Everything from the booking process to the day I checked out of my room was absolutely amazing. The owner Muna is extremely kind she answered all of my questions and made my stay extremely memorable. She even had a gift bag for me when I arrived. The manager Jane checked in on me a few times to see how my stay was going and if I needed anything. She is a wonderful asset to the inn. The entire staff made me feel so comfortable and welcomed that it was hard to leave. The rooms were extremely clean, newly renovated and had a beautiful view of the Wisconsin River. The bed and bedding were top notch, I have never slept so good outside of my own home. The location is next door to a wonderful bar/restaurant that has great food and a wonderful friendly atmosphere. There is a grocery store with in walking distance and the downtown area is just a 15 minute walk across the bridge as well as beautiful hiking trails nearby. It’s very quiet and peaceful at night and I didn’t have any problems sleeping. This is my new favorite place and I will be a regular visitor. Thank you Muna and your staff for such an amazing and relaxing visit that I very...
