Cedar Lodge and Settlement — Hotel in Town of Delton

This review is overdue, we recently had the pleasure of staying at Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement in Wisconsin Dells, and I cannot rave enough about this incredible property and its amazing owners. We were in search of a place where we could rent the entire property for our wedding and wanted a place where we could offer all of the ages of the family something to do at any given moment. This place delivered!!

My best friend and I called this place on a roadtrip because we found it on google and thought it was worth a shot and Chris the owner answered and was so kind and thoughtful that we detoured and stopped to meet him there in the middle of winter. We chose this place because of him and the fabulous, well kept property.

We talked with Chris and his wife several times prior to our August wedding and they were patient with our planning process and able to accommodate all of our requests. We cannot thank them enough for the use of the clubhouse and pool!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that made our stay truly unforgettable.  Chris and his wife Angie, the staff and property were more than we could have dreamed up!

The property itself is absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque setting that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere of the Wisconsin River. It was the perfect site for our wedding and family gathering, providing a beautiful backdrop for our special day and ample space for all our guests to relax and enjoy.  The owners went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Their dedication to excellence and genuine care for their guests truly set Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement apart.  Whether you're planning a wedding, a family reunion, or just a peaceful getaway, I highly recommend Cedar Lake Lodge and Settlement. Highly recommend that you rent a boat for some amazing photos and head next door to rent tubes to float down the river! My whole family loved using the tickets to Noah’s Ark and the Big...

I just wanted to say this cabin is absolutely gorgeous! Very roomy, very clean, very nice! (The steps out front needs a railing.. but then again, I have bad knees, and I was just fine holding onto the pillar to get up the stairs).

This is my 2nd time in WI Dells, and at Cedar Lodge. Last time we stayed in a room with the view of the river.. that is so peaceful and beautiful!!.. my father passed away that year back at home, and it was hard to be here and not there, but I had a beautiful, peaceful time on the phone with my family when it happened, because we had the lake view, and I went outside and an Eagle (his favorite animal) flew over the lake at the perfect time. They we saw deer just walking around)

This time like I said, we are in the cabin. We were sitting outside on the deck, and i mentioned how peaceful it is here, and right then 4 deer walk thru the grass and onto the road!!! That was so bashful Beautiful!!!!! We had a great time out on the deck making memories! (Except for a dang June bug!! 😆 it caused me to scream like a 5 yr old girl!, but hey, I have curly thick hair and it landed on the side of my head!! The neighboring cabin just stared at me 🤣 I apologized for being loud and said right away "I'm drinking Sweet Tea!!" I mean come in! It's May and they are called JUNE BUGS!!! 😆 they need to know what month to come out dangit!!)

Anyways back to this cabin, this is a very peaceful area... great for families & I'm sure it's perfect for a romantic getaway!

I already know our stay is going to be a 5/5 that's why I'm reviewing it now!!!

(Oh sorry to say and I promise this isn't a complaint, but, I wish we would have known there was no complimentary charcoal for the grill 😞... it would make things a lot easier for some. -- not a biggie, we can run to the store & cross our fingers that they have small bags left, if not, i guess you are getting the rest of our charcoal for your next cookout 🤣)

I’ve stayed at this resort several times. What I find enjoyable is that they have different rooms for different occasions. They have cabins and larger rooms available for groups or you can just get a single room. They all have a fireplace, cabin feel, and small kitchens. It’s nice to be able to cook for our group gatherings. No matter what room you choose, it will definitely be clean. I once called during a winter storm and they went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. They didn’t expect any guest but even during the blizzard when they didn’t have all of their staff working my room was clean, warm and cozy. My fiancée and I stopped by to look at the rooms and decide if we want to have a pre- wedding party with our friends. I was able to take lots of pictures and I discovered they also have a lovely small club room with a large fireplace that faces the beautiful lake. Anyone who’s a nature lover will enjoy the outdoor activities decor , fishing is just yards away, and the whole environment gives me a deep restful sleep. In a few weeks we will be staying for Valentine’s Day. It will be a short trip but we always feel so rejuvenated. Their beds are comfortable and it just gives you a home away from home feeling. Whats great is we can just drive down the road to Devils Lake for a hike, Big Cat Rescue, and downtown Dells. If you choose this spot just get ready to get back to being human again and leave your...
