We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding in Montauk, NY, and I cannot express enough how incredible our experience was staying at Briney Breezes. From the moment we decided to book our wedding weekend at this charming hotel, every detail was handled with the utmost professionalism and care by the owners, Robert and Jennie. Robert, Jennie, and their team at Briney Breezes exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was courteous, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our special day perfect. From recommendations to accommodating our guests, Robert and Jennie went above and beyond. Their expertise and dedication were evident in every interaction. Communication with the Briney Breezes team was flawless. They were always prompt in responding to our inquiries and provided detailed, clear answers to all of our questions and some fabulous suggestions. Whether discussing room arrangements, event logistics, or last-minute changes, Jennie and Robert were always accessible, accommodating, and friendly! Our guests and wedding party stayed at the hotel and everyone was impressed by the immaculate, comfortable rooms and the pristine hotel grounds. The location was extremely convenient and ideal for traveling into town and to the wedding venue, which made logistics seamless for everyone. Aside from getting married, our stay at Britney Breezes was my absolute favorite part of our Montauk experience. Robert and Jennie genuinely care and love what they do and it’s extremely evident in not only my experience, but every one of my guests’ who went out of their way to expressed the same! Read moreWe stayed here between 7/23-7/26. 3 reasons for the 1-star review: During our stay we asked the cleaner to clean up the room once she is done with the next room, she told us she can't do the whole room because she has to leave work early for that day. There were dirty dishes and utensils left in the dishwasher, god knows how long they were left in there. On the last day, I left a bag of laundry in the room by accident, and I called them a few hours later to ask them to help me send it out to me and let me know how much it costs so I can pay for the shipping costs. The owner was nice about it and said he will ship out the next day (7/27) and will email us the tracking number after they ship it out. I didn't receive anything after a week so I called again on (7/3) in the morning, the owner said he will check and call me back shortly. Then he just forgot about it, I had to call back again in the afternoon, then he told us the stuff was shipped out on 7/2 then he just hung up. It is 7/9 and I still did not receive my laundry and no tracking number was emailed to us. I called again asking for the tracking number, the owner was annoyed and told me he doesn't have that kind of money to pay for the service that comes with a tracking number. After I told him I will pay for the shipping cost (again) then he changed the tone and said he will look for the receipt and call me back later (it been 2 hours and I am still waiting). But I guess I will never find out what they did to my laundry. I honestly don't know how can they still in business, there are other reviews online complaining about how the owners were rude to their guests. Read moreWe were in Amagansett for business and initially booked a hotel a few miles away from Briney Breeze. That hotel immediately turned into an episode of Hotel Hell so we left right away and searched for a new place to stay.
We found Briney Breeze and called them because the location worked great for us. The owner was really nice over the phone and was sympathetic that we had a crummy situation at another hotel. So we left and headed there.
Check-in was super easy and very COVID safe. When we got there he let us know that he upgraded us to a newly remodeled suite which, after our previous hotel situation, was very appreciated.
The room was incredibly nice, much nicer than I expected. The remodel was really tasteful and modern, unlike what seems like most hotels in the Hampton’s which are dated and creepy. There was brand new flooring, a really nice kitchen with dishwasher and fully stocked with cooking and eating supplies, two new tv’s, a really well sized and extremely clean bathroom, a separate cozy bedroom, the beds were very comfortable, and the view was amazing. The previous place was billed as this fancy hotel with amazing views and when we got there it was a bait and switch and we had literally no views. Briney Breeze didn’t even advertise their views to us and it ended up being one of the better ocean views we’ve had before (check out the photo).
Overall, we have literally nothing bad to say about our experience, the ownership, or the room. The Hamptons is a weird area, it seems like a lot of people are trying to rip someone off in one way or another, so it was nice to find a place to stay that is honest and transparent. We’ll be staying here every time we’re in town...
