Pros:||Our unit was B12. Well laid out lower corner unit. View was dunes and part of a neighboring building. View was "OK". Still heard the ocean sounds. Balcony is large. Full size dining table and 4 chairs out there. Seaside decor in all the rooms. All units have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Master BDRM has bath in the room. Both bathrooms had showers. Kitchen is small but again, well laid out. Full size fridge, ice maker did not work but that's ok. coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishwasher and all the supplies such as paper towel, dish detergent for both dishwasher and hand washing, dish towel. Full set of plates, cutlery, knives, utensils, glassware. the Kitchen had a counter you could sit at with I think 2-3 chairs. Large inside dining table with 5 chairs. One broke when I sat on it. No, I'm not a large person and that was no fun. Fortunately, I wasn't hurt, just sore. The living room had two large couches that were really comfortable and one was a pull out. Tv's in every room. The smaller bdrm had two single beds, a large closet with plenty of storage. The master bdrm I think the bed was a queen and comfortable, but high. Also a bathroom in the bdrm. Two closets, a dresser, nightstands. All with storage. The whole unit was modern in its fixtures, bedding ect. Also, plenty of bath soap and shampoos were supplied, and a gorgeous boardwalk to get to the beach. Not a long walk either... COVID19 prep was great in that there was no daily housekeeping but every day they texted you with a sort of app that you can request anything you want. Towels, soap, kitchen supplies ect. Also in the text you can request how many beach chairs you'd like, beach towels, umbrellas all included. No extra fees. All set up for you on the beach by an attendant. We did not use the pool so I have no comments there. But there was also an attendant/lifeguard at the pool who wore a mask. ||Cons:||One beach attendant did not have a mask on at all. Then later in the day he had one but wore it under his chin. I must have passed him at least twice on the boardwalk and he did not have it on. Nor did he have it on when standing over me to place the umbrella.||||Not really the resorts fault here either but many guests, probably about half did not wear a mask or even have one present when passing on the boardwalk. When passing on the boardwalk you are DEF NOT 6' apart. At ALL. I know its outside but that's not what the CDC recommends. Covid19 is not on vacation because you are. I did tell the office with suggestions to place signage at BOTH ends of the walkway and they prob should somewhere on the reservation process AND on their website. ||||The dining room chair I mentioned before that broke under me.||When we arrived we had decided we'd run the dishes through the washer anyway. The resort had said they cleaned as per guidelines but I'd run the dishes anyway. Good thing I did. Several of the glasses were greasy, at least four plates were caked with food remnants! Gross I'm sorry. Now, the place looked very clean otherwise... When I placed my suitcase on the bed to unpack a pill dropped to the floor. I thought maybe its one of my supplements? NO! It was a prescription medication! We don't take any prescriptions so it wasn't mine. Not good. I stripped the bed down and all looked clean and well so maybe it was a workers who dropped it while preparing the room. Sigh... while surveying the smaller room a dirty tissue seemed to come out of the bedding from one of the beds as i pulled down the covers. Ok, maybe that also was from a worker. I try to give the benefit of the doubt since again, the whole unit and property seemed very clean.||||Last con: TAKE AN UPPER UNIT AT ALL COSTS. It's SOOOO LOUD downstairs. There seemed to be a family upstairs and omg, people /kids were stomping on the floors up till midnight then it started up by 8am. At least EVERY DAY. Maybe take your chances if its way off season but I don't think I'd take a lower unit again. I like not having to walk up all those steps but .... ||||Overall. Great place over all. The lack of signage reminding guests to wear a mask, especially on the boardwalk when others are around was negligent on their part to me. (there was one but very small print on the beach side of the boardwalk and I think on the pool gate. but very small ) Of course not wearing them while ON the beach and 6' + away from people is ok. ||||Wifi- although free? was intermittent at best . The router in our unit was located in the master bdrm and that was the only place where it was ok. And I...

I’ve stayed in many places in montauk and this place is very low on the value scale. For example, you can stay at Gurnerys for not much more yet get so much more. A MUCH higher aesthetic, a spa, restaurants, a full staff at your service at all hours, patios, bars, etc etc. Here you get an old condo, cheesey 1980s beach decor, a meh pool, old rubber beach chairs, a tiny “gym” and the best part, absolutely no one available to you after hours, which presented a big problem for us when we got locked out of our room at 5:30 pm Saturday. They only issue actual keys for the room and they only gave us one at that. When I realized I locked myself out I went to the office and saw that it was closed. No worries though, certainly there is an after hours contact. Well, there was a number to call but it went straight to voicemail. No outgoing message either so I had no idea if I was even calling a relevant phone number. Regardless, I left a message after calling numerous times. I also called the front desk and left a message there. I emailed Ken, a manager or something, at his work email and his private email which I googled. I tried finding his phone number via google, tried about three numbers, no answer. So now what? I called the police. They said they’d see if they could find them. In the meanwhile, my husband suggested we climb onto the second floor balcony. I told him he was insane. After an hour of no response and realizing we had nothing but our phones with us, I grew more desperate. I didn’t have my car keys or wallet. If we didn’t get in we were spending the night in the car, which luckily was unlocked. So after looking at what the climb onto the balcony would entail I decided I would do it since I’m much more flexible than my husband. With him spotting me I went ahead and climbed onto the balcony and we got in. I didn’t end up hearing from anyone from the hotel until 11:30 the next day!!! The response was that he hopes I was able to successfully find the after hours contact information. Yes Ken, I was successful in finding the after hours contact information, that part was quite easy. It was getting a response from your after hours contact that wasn’t so easy. I responded to his email and explained what happened and the worst part? I have yet to get any sort of apology. He simple hasn’t responded. Shaking my head. I’ve read other reviews for this place and seems I’m not the only person to have had this type of issue. If your looking for a good place to stay in montauk I highly recommend The Beachcomber. Less expensive and...
