Beautiful resort directly on the beach in Amagansett! Reasonably priced for the location and the provided amenities. We stayed in room 34 in the Rapallo building which is a one bedroom condo-style room with a small kitchen (no oven), dining area, and living room along with a separate bedroom and bathroom. The real star of the show for the room is the ocean facing patio with two lounges chairs and a table for 4 with an umbrella. Stunning views of the ocean! The perfect little beach condo! The bathroom has fabulous water pressure in the shower, AC was consistently cool, bed was comfy, the kitchen was stocked with basic necessities for making meals. A comfortable, homey place to stay steps from the beach.
Thereās free ice in the neighboring building a short walk away from the room and on the way to the pool. They also had vending machines with snacks and drinks for purchase. The pool was a perfect refreshing temperature and super clean, as was the pool house that also had a shower to wash off in. They also provided towels on the pool deck. The beach also included cabana services with chairs, umbrellas, chaise loungers, and towels to use included with the room and a very friendly staff member graciously arranged a perfect setup by the beach for us to spend the day.
Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted by the front desk concierge who promptly arranged for our room to be ready several hours before check in. We are so grateful for that! A free parking pass is also provided for one vehicle per room.
The hotel is nestled on the beach within a nature preserve. We had the luxury of watching a pilot whale breach from our patio while sipping morning coffee as well running into a deer attempting to go for a nice evening swim. I canāt say enough wonderful things about this place.
Just a FYIā¦There arenāt many restaurants and stores around so bring groceries before checking in to not waste any time away from all the fabulous amenities provided on the property or plan an Instacart order. Things like coffee and salt/pepper, etc. are not provided.
If you want to dodge the nightlife and hustle and bustle of the Hamptons, the Sea Crest Resort is the perfect place. The incredible hospitality and the breathtaking location with direct access to the serene beaches and wildlife is something I will never forget. We canāt wait to plan another trip in the very near future! We also canāt thank the staff at the Sea Crest enough for their tremendous hospitality. It is our first time in Amagansett and based off our experience, it will most certainly not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is for Sea Crest Unit 65. We stayed there in February 2022 for 4 days mid-week.||||My wife and I actually live on Long Island, and both work from home. We've been indoors for a good while. We wanted to get away for a change of pace, but not go far, and also stay away from crowds (Covid still a thing). We thought we would try staying local and go "out east" as they say around here.||||Seacrest looked like a good option, it was open off-season, price was reasonable, looked clean, and seemed to have lots of ocean views.||||Our room was great. It appeared recently renovated as the paint, cabinets, floor, and furniture (everything actually) looked pristine. The appliances were all new and clean. The bed was firm, not saggy as you sometimes get. It had a memory foam mattress, which was a new thing for us, but proved to be extremely comfortable and we slept great. ||||Our view was great also. As it happens the way the our building was situated (we were on the upper floor), we could see all the way east towards Montauk, as well as west toward East Hampton. I've attached a couple photos, the beach view is unbeatable.||||Our plan was to do some local food shopping, bring some things in, and cook our own meals there and enjoy the sun rises and sun sets. Basically do our work thing from our temporary base of operations, but take breaks and get out a bit.||||Being off season in February, the place was very quiet and private. Really nobody was on the beach, which was great for walks. I will admit that if the breeze was up it got a little chilly out there. Note that there is no beach service (chairs, etc.) off season. ||||The internet was great, so working from there was no problem. The kitchen has tons of storage, the fridge was big, and they had nearly every kind of kitchen thing and cooking bowl/pan you could thing of, including stuff you don't usually see (cup cake pans, cookie sheets, etc.). Tons of bowls, cups, etc. There was no salt and pepper and the usual odd mix of spices that we often see when we rent places on the beach, but I guess with Covid around that makes sense. Everything was very clean.||||The trip worked out great, and we plan on doing more winter breaks like this at Sea Crest...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNeeded a break from the mundane of Covid19. Booked a long weekend here. The oceanfront co-op looked enticing online. The room I āthoughtā I picked from photos was not the one we were assigned (#35). If I had known it wouldnāt be the room I saw attached to the desired building in photos, I never would have booked it. We attempted to switch, but the only available co-op was just as bad. Front desk guy explained that the online pictured rooms are basically just a representation of the rooms they have. Doesnāt mean you will get that one. Ugh! Really? The co-op we were stuck with is decorated in early 80ās to 90ās decor. It looked like a guy decorated it with mismatched garage sale items 20-30 years ago. Grace Jones disco era prints mixed with beachy themed stuff. The mattress was a pit of lumpiness. Iām still in pain from this and exhausted from lack of sleep due to crappy mattress. The sofa and love seat are definitely from the 80s, also lumpy, you immediately sink down into the dirty cushions. I also felt itchy at times, but saw no bite marks. The kitchen and bath were both updated, not sure when, but tolerable. The best thing was the oceanfront view. Because it was so cold, we never sat on the beach and only a short time on the lanai. The price of this co-op was quite expensive. We pay for oceanfront when we stay in Key West, Ft Lauderdale, Charleston, the west coast. Iāve never felt so ātakenā as with this stay. This was our first time visiting overnight on the south fork and will be our last. Not sure what all the hubbub is about. Stayed here...
