What a pleasant surprise! We booked a 2 queen room. Room had chairs and a table outside the door. Inside there were two queen beds, a small dining table and two chairs, dresser, shoe bench, lounge chair and a shoe bench. Kitchenette had a small refrigerator with small freezer, sink, toaster, microwave, two burner stove, coffee pot, and was fully stocked with everything from utensils, cups, pots, pans, cups, etc. Bathroom had a storage closet, small table, sink and stall shower. Split air conditioning units and dehumidifier as well. Everything was clean and neat. Rooms are spacious. Best part: walk out your door, up a boardwalk path and you're on a private beach. Lounge chairs, towels and umbrellas provided. It was perfect for our family! Easy to find, ample parking and pleasant staff upon check in. Indoor pool, ice maker, Keurig in the office. Adirondack chairs and tables outside each room. Several outdoor tables with umbrellas perfect for eating dinner outside. We saw small charcoal grills and a ping pong table, too. It's not fancy but it was convenient, clean and everyone was friendly. Will absolutely be back.

Great location and right off the dune next to the beach. The rustic charm is what helps you overlook the lack of attention to detail when cleaning rooms. We found a woman's scarf under the bed. However, our room was updated and visually (the upgrades) looked great. However, the shower leaked more water down the shower head then came out of the shower head and there looked like nail polish on my comforter. Each room is different but the same overall size but some have larger bedrooms and smaller bathrooms while ours was smaller bedroom and large bathroom. The pool is indoors and they have a meeting/party room that was extremely dated. The female manager (owner?) wasn't the most pleasant person. The room rate was cheaper online (mid July $280ish) then what she told me in person @ $350.00 a night. Not worth it unless you just want to be on the beach....and in the Hamptons.

Just got home from a stay at Ocean Vista. Check in was a breeze. The front desk was helpful with information about the area and very friendly. The room was so cozy and nicely decorated. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. Everything was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was an adorable vanity area which I loved to get ready. It was well equipped with cooktops, a decent size fridge and freezer as well as a microwave and dishes. Beach access was convenient. The pool is indoors and heated which was nice on a rainy day. The sauna was also enjoyable. Perfect location, I attended an event at Stephen talkhouse which was a convenient 10 minute drive. Multiple places for food nearby. Wonderful stay would recommend to anyone and I will be back!

I recently went for a short getaway with my dear sister and niece to beautiful Montauk!||||It was a 3 day surprise-filled respite that would not have been possible without our lovely stay at Ocean Vista Resort. I had actually booked with an impressive bed and breakfast but when I realized I had to drive and pay for parking to access a nice beach, I searched the internet and maps to look for a beach front property. I am just so glad that Ocean Vista came up with its competitive summer rates. I love that I got a unit that may be tiny but was big on amenities! It was super clean— from the floors to the sheets and the bathroom. It had a full||kitchen with utensils that gave you the option of staying in to eat on a rainy day. (IGA was a short drive and you have a good-sized refrigerator to keep your groceries)! I also love that we had quite comfortable queen sized beds and the AC worked perfectly to keep you cool through the summer blaze outside. There was an indoor pool, a tennis court and a pong table should you decide to take a breather from the beach. Another plus was it being close to other attractions like the Montauk Lighthouse, Gosman’s dock, the Main St., Shadmoor, Hither Hills, Kirk Park and Ditch Plains beach. As for me, the biggest draw was its quiet beach access! Spectacular! We had lots of fun simply lounging, wading and playing ball on the soft sand with a breathtaking, even therapeutic view of the Atlantic Ocean. A bonus—- we spotted a whale (or 2) frolicking on the waters—- just like that, unannounced, no frills while we watched in awe, feeling blessed, too, that these magnificent creatures chose to show...
