Windward Shores Ocean Resort — Hotel in Town of East Hampton

WS ( Windward Shores) more than Exceeded my expectations. The location is convenient to all destinations in the Hamptons, area state parks, wineries and restaurants. ||The hotel is right off the Montauk Highway but is private once you get into the complex. It is serene and peaceful. There is a tennis court and pool and other activities to keep yourself busy in the summer. What shines here is the pristine beach that is a few steps from your unit. I had made a request for a particular room thatI liked the decor of and magically they were able to honor my request. To say that I was happy by the decor of this unit is an understatement. Everything inside was pristine clean and I had no hesitation in settling in. Bathroom was sanitized and kitchen spotless. There has been some renovations which we appreciated. ||Everything needed for a weekend stay is available in the unit. I had to ask for nothing extra. Kitchen utensils,crockery and cutlery. There is the following in the unit as well , hairdryer, iron, vacuum, medium size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker( and coffee supplies) bath supplies and dishwash supplies are provided. ||Water pressure and hot water excellent!||The hotel has gone above and beyond to have contactless check in and check out during Covid guidelines and communication is excellent on all levels. Reminders were sent by voicemail, text and email so I could miss nothing. Housekeeping refills can be ordered the day off by phone text and is delivered to your door. We lacked nothing. If I am being nitpicky about the room it would be that the pillows and area rugs need to be upgraded. There is great attention to detail in this unit. The staff at Windward shows are very responsive, polite and go out of their way to make you happy. Beach chairs are provided by the hotel and although we did not need it umbrellas are available in the summer. Although it was Spring, I can tell attention to detail has been maintained in the landscaping and flower beds and it must be lovely in the Summer. Walkways and hallways are clean with trash containers all over the property. ||The beach is steps away from any unit and is just stunning. Pick your room carefully. We had a 1st floor room with "dune view" Cons: People upstairs had kids and you could hear everything. It sounded like they were dragging furniture around. The noise continued even after the children checked out and a family with grown children moved in which meant the sound insulation was terrible. The metal spiral stair case on the 2nd floor, located right above our bed, creaked and vibrated all night when someone used it. It sounded like the person/people using it would jump from the last step to the floor right above us. The same noise continued even with the family that had grown children The plumbing for both floors is located on the wall behind the bed and it felt like people were flushing and showering on us all night long. The sand from the upstairs deck continuously came down on our lower patio making it impossible to even have a cup of coffee out there.
