Horrible three night stay at this hotel during Memorial Day weekend of 2021. The hotel reserved an event for the Banquet space on Sunday, May 30th from 10am to 8pm ET. The noise from that event could be heard throughout the entire hotel, including in my room (231), which was right on top of the event. I am not sure why the hotel would have given me that room when I checked in on Friday knowing there was a large event coming on Saturday. The entire room was vibrating and shaking. The parking was packed with no open spots. I went to the front desk and the receptionist told me she could move me to Room 329. The music could still be heard two floors above. This is completely unacceptable and unfair to guests who booked rooms. When I spoke to the receptionist at the front desk in the afternoon, the situation had gotten so bad the individuals in the venue refused to turn the music down and a manager was driving over to handle the situation. ||||What is this franchise's policies on masks? On the Comfort Inn website, it says "Following the CDC’s latest updates to public health guidance for fully vaccinated individuals, Choice Hotels is no longer requiring the use of face coverings in hotel common areas. However, face-covering requirements may vary by location as hotels continue to comply with state and local requirements, health ordinances and other regulations." This hotel had signs up that saying face coverings were required in public areas, which I complied with, but the front desk staff never had masks on and most guests did not either. Why are your signs still up if masks are not required in public areas?||||Why is the hotel still doing bagged breakfasts when capacity limits have been mostly lifted in Dutchess County and New York State? The hotel obviously is comfortable renting out the banquet space for a large unmasked event but is not comfortable starting to serve...

Read moreThis was the best Choice Hotel in which we have ever stayed. It was incredibly clean, which is a rare thing. The room and especially the bathroom, were definitely up to date. The lobby also looked modern and large. The breakfast area was the nicest of any Choice Hotel at which we have stayed. What we LOVED though was the tall shower head. WOW -THANK YOU. We are both tall and can't stay places where we don't fit in the shower. You would think that this would not be a problem, but it is. I was thrilled with the high ceilings, large shower, and high shower head. There were only two things that we did not like: the coffee and the pillows. The coffee outside of the room is from a machine and it does not taste fresh. If you want fresh drip coffee, use your in room coffee maker. The pillows - well what can I say? For some reason, Choice Hotels insists on using these RIDICULOUS, TINY, SQUARE PILLOWS. My husband and I both hate them. If you want a full sized pillow, bring your own. They always insist that they are full size, but trust me, they are not. The pillow cases are even bigger than the pillows. However, we loved the hotel overall - loved it.The area this hotel is in is amazing and close to so many things. The little town of Fishkill has great restaurants of all kinds and the town of Beacon is adorable with galleries and an independent food court and coffee shop. Plus, the eco-friendly Fishkill Farms is close by as well. WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK...
