Avoid this establishment at all costs: The musty smell was overpowering almost before entering the building, which is a ramshackle house featuring a bizarre layout, rooms MacGuyvered out of hallways and stairwells, and cheap sheets covering shattered windows.
We were already concerned about the safety of our family breathing the air inside our “room” when we got word of a family emergency shortly after checking in. Soon after, I called the owner to let him know of our sad news, and he said flatly: “Just return the keys at the front desk.” I asked about a possible rebate since we were no longer able to use the room, and he said, in our time of deep shock and sorrow: “I don’t believe you.”
Three days later, I'm still stunned and saddened someone could make a difficult moment in a person's life so much worse.
So, the hotel is an absolute horror show of musty rooms, broken old furniture blocking exits and questionable safety standards. That would have been one thing, but add to that an uncaring and hostile owner and here I am, writing the only poor review I’ve ever written about anything on the Internet.
The nicest thing I can say about it is that the front desk lady was kind to my son. She was helpful in navigating the many obstacles to our room, and showed us the common area for playing broken board games. If only it weren’t directly in view of a staff area, where employees were hanging out on a bed (?), gossiping and staring at us as though we were in a museum.
Because of health and safety concerns, I plan to continue seeking a refund. Needless to say: Avoid,...

Read moreThis hotel was one of the worst. The outside was not kept and the building behind it looks like it is condemned. No one was at the front desk. You call a number and they tell you to go to a room and the key is on a hook outside. The hallway is cramped, with a runner that isn't secure and bunches up as you walk and roll your suitcase down the hallway. The addition of the church pews makes it unnecessarily crowded. Who's sitting in the hallway having conversations? The hotel also smells of must and mildew because it is not well ventilated. The room had two double beds and no room to walk around, let alone put your suitcases. the air conditioner blows directly on one of the bed. Bathroom is not well lit and you can't see what you're doing over the sink. The television was attached to a Roku, with no instructions and no way to make it work and no one to ask. The morning coffee was undrinkable, with the taste of old boiled coffee. This place is an utter disaster and absolutely not worth the price we paid.||Equally frustrating is that my comments are not new. These comments, and ones like them, have been made for well over a year. Unfortunately, my husband made the reservations without reading reviews, and I read them after the fact, much to our detriment. The owner "thanks" the person for their comments and how they can make improvements to the hotel. Yet, they do nothing to fix...
