The Adirondack Inn — Hotel in Town of Schroon

I was "in the need" for a short getaway, and with no particular destination in mind, I decided on the Adirondacks. With that in mind I started the search for the ideal spot. The Adirondack Inn won, hands down! On site parking, comfortable rooms, affordability and a small town vibe. Situated at the village edge, and across the street from the lake, it was just what I was looking for. Cheryl and John were most accommodating. Whether it was for directions, recommendations on the best places to eat, or to just have a conversation, they would be actively engaged. John and Cheryl and their new puppy... Great hosts. I was passing through and needed a good bed, A/C and a convenient way to explore "downtown" Schroon Lake. I got that and more. What a charmer this place was. Modern and current, yet historically charming as well. It's not big and spacious mind you, but for me it was just right. They accommodated me on short notice and pointed me to where and when to eat and even steered me towards a locals, open jam session where anyone with 3 chords and some truth could sit in and have fun and we got to watch. Recently spent three nights in Schroon Lake at the Adirondack Inn. Our group spent one night there the year before and decided to return. It's a great little Inn right in Schroon Lake within easy walking distance to restaurants and the lake. John and Cheryl are great great hosts. The Inn is in the Adirondack motif, well kept and clean. When one of our group had a medical issue, John volunteered to drive him to the hospital (we were on motorcycles) and stayed to drive him back once he was checked out.
