The Bayview Resort in Hampton Bays is definitely a hidden gem!!! Right off Montauk highway and is close to many surrounding restaurants and stores!! When booking our 4 day/night reservation spoke with the manager Danny and was concerned about the Covid protocol. He explained and reassured me that the rooms were sanitize with high grade disinfectant and kept my mind at ease. Upon our arrival I went into the office and met Dan who was just a doll! He went over the paper work, handed me the keys and a brochure and map of all the places surrounding the Hamptons!! He also had free beach passes to Ponquogue beach! Very easy check in and out! When entering our room it was spotless!! Super clean!! Had two full beds, mini refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, TV, blow dryer etc. The beds are extremely comfortable with a lot of pillows. Each room had been renovated and looked really nice! Dan and Peggy always came and spoke to us and always ask if we needed anything! They both went above and beyond to make our stay the best!!! Anytime we had a question they were always there to answer anything!! Deirdre the young cleaning girl was the sweetest, she always made sure we had enough towels and if we needed anything she was right there to assist! On the grounds they have a beautiful pool, fire pit, new clubhouse with a breakfast nook and exercise room, free kayaks and canoes to use on Tiana Bay and bicycles! You can sit out by the fire pit at night!! The resort sits right on Tiana bay with a beautiful dock overlooking the bay! Nice pool!! There is a lot of rocking chairs Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs to sun or just take in the breath taking views Beautiful sunsets and water views of Tiana Bay! I rate this hotel a five and would definitely be back again!! Dan and Peggy thank you for making our stay so pleasurable and enjoying!! We can’t wait to see you both...
Read moreFirst and foremost, this is a motel, not a resort. I arrived and immediately how upset I was that the view from my room was "direct parking lot" even though the website promises water view rooms and all the photos are of bay views. NONE of their room photos show the view, so I had numerous and EXTENSIVE conversations with them before booking and specifically said I ONLY wanted a direct water view ( which does not exist here ) As soon as I checked in I told them I could not possibly stay there and would be leaving as soon as possible. None of their rooms have real water views although they agreed to "upgrade" me for more money in three days, which was a huge turnoff considering it was their mistake and fraudulent pictures that led me to book this awful place. Not to mention the running toilet, not being able to keep the shades open because people are constantly walking by ( because all the rooms face the parking lot ) and parking lot so tight you have to back out of it. Thanks for telling me I have to make a K turn at the end of it in order to safely get out. Also the area does not seem safe and they have NO security at night. Again, NOT a resort. A little late for that info. I left three days early and they refused to refund me. Totally depressing place ...these people that love it in the reviews must not get out much, this place is not...
Read moreWe had booked this place for the weekend on the first day of fall. It's a gorgeous spot right on the Bay! The staff were friendly upon check in and even let us check in a little before our reservation. We have a young boy, and he was all about the salt water swimming pool and of course the TV, lol!
We loved being able to take out the boats they have on the property on to the Bay, and it was included in our stay at no extra charge! They have a medium sized row boat, a canoe and two kayaks! We used the rowboat once and then I used the kayak solo the following morning! There's a small cardio gym in the clubhouse that was open to use as well!
Also, there was a free fire pit that we used and just bought some wood at the local Stop and Shop to end our night with a bit of country!
Luis and and all the staff were friendly and helpful, and not at bad price either. Talk with him also if you want to get some local ideas of where to go or visit, and also be sure to rent or try paddle boarding with him as well, he knows all the spots in the area!
We personally felt that we got way more than our money's worth. I can imagine it gets busy during the summer and peak times including weekends, so just keep that in mind. We we're lucky enough to have a window in time that escaped the crowds and almost felt like we had the place...
