Hamptons Vacation Inn — Hotel in Town of Southampton

I want to be fair and never intend to bash a business. I must tell the truth and warn others about this location, particularly the 3 bedroom cottage #3. I find it hard to believe that management is unaware that this unit is infested with roaches. I say infestated because shortly after we walked in, we encountered a full size and fast moving roach under the coffee pot and continued to see roaches each time we were in the cottage during our 2 night stay. This made it very hard to sleep comfortably or even leave our belongings inside for fear of accidentally bringing a roach home. I opened the fridge last night and there was a roach inside the fridge. Not to mention dirt marks on the sheets of at least one bed, uncovered wall outlets behind the beds, and dirt marks on the walls that could easily be wiped off. It's a shame because this is a cute place in a great location, but beware if you want to spend money renting a place to stay that...

Place was clean and modern. Exceeded my expectations. Only thing that sucked was the neighbors and got stuck with a room that faced the train tracks.||||Got in late past 1 AM, because of work, but front desk person was awesome and gave me instructions on how to access my room, after hours. She was always great every time I called and very pleasant.||||It was past 2am and I needed to be up at 6:30am for work related training nearby. I was surprised to hear the next door guests stumbling in past 2am, loud as hell, and sounded like a drunk ruckus was going on (prostitutes?), Had to shove some earplugs to block out some of the noise. Plus you can hear the train roar past every 30mins to 1hr. My room faced the train tracks.||||Again, don't blame the property. Just some of the guests are bleh. wish there was a way to filter them or not turn it into "that...

OMG! Stayed in Unit #3 for one out of the three nights we originally booked. We had to leave when we saw the COCKROACHES upon returning to the property late at night. Spent the rest of the night moving out, finding another hotel on a busy holiday weekend, and washing anything we didn't throw away at an all night laundromat! This was the worst nightmare we've ever had while traveling! They did refund our entire stay, but we'll never get back the time spent getting out of there or worrying we didn't take any pests home with us. They also refused to reimburse us for the cost of the discarded items or the laundromat.
