The Shoals Suites & Slips — Hotel in Town of Southold

I recently had an amazing time at The Shoals Suites & Slips in Southold, NY, and I wanted to share my experience.

The place is really nice. The room was clean and comfy, and you could tell they put thought into making it cozy. But what really made my stay memorable was Barbara, the hostess. She's seriously awesome. Super friendly and down-to-earth, she went out of her way to make sure I was having a great time. It's like having a cool friend who's also making sure you're having a blast.

The vibe of the place is on point too. Right by the Peconic Bay, it's got that chill, laid-back feel. Waking up to that view was something else – seriously, it's the kind of thing you see in movies.

Amazing! This hotel exceeded all expectations!

Perfectly located, no more than 7-15 min to all the wineries and restaurants.

The rooms are super clean, great interior, everything is brand new, there's a small stove, small refrigerator, not mini, but a real one and even an oven! This is very convenient if you staying for a long time.

The hotel it's self is renovated or new, the breakfast area/ lounge is very well decorated, and there's a piano, so probably there will be live music during a busy season. The breakfast is very tasty! Blueberry muffins were so fresh they were even warm!

Cherry on top is an oyster farm next door from the hotel, there's an automatic machine to sell oysters if no one is at the farm. It's a refrigerator, sort of like the soda machine, but with oysters! This is very clever and very convenient.

An incredible stay at The Shoals in North Fork! This waterfront boutique hotel/botel is the perfect spot to dock your boat and unwind. The rooms are beautifully designed — clean, modern, and super comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen! We loved waking up to the patio with the water views a few feet away.

The on-site food truck, Maizeat, is a total standout — the food was fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. Great bonus: a free light breakfast every morning!

The location is ideal — just minutes from Greenport and other charming North Fork towns. The property is kid- and pet-friendly, with a relaxed, welcoming vibe and amazing service from start to finish.
