When they first opened and came to town it was delicious, packed house. Since then not sure what has happened.

Had lunch here. Ordered several apps and some entrees

Meatballs were delicious. Baked clams were good. Regular clams were inedible. They were so tough.

Oysters, what happened to go old fashioned mignonette? Whatever version they had was so gross it almost made me throw up. Get rid of it!!!! Either improve it or stick to the traditional red wine vinegar and shallots PLEASE!

Between the clams and oysters they weren’t cleaned very well. Too many micro shells and lots of sand. This was also very disappointing.

My cousin got a lobster roll, he said he liked it but the French fries were soggy, cold, overall stale. Restaurant was empty. No reason for stale cold soggy fries. Should’ve been fresh and piping hot.

I had fish tacos. They were disgusting! I wish I never ordered them. Worst fish taco I ever had in my life. They lacked in flavor, finesse. Cheese and fish do not go. The cotija cheese absolutely killed the entire entree and it was missing something.

Calamari and shrimp you can tell they were frozen products. We got cocktail shrimp… first of all cocktail shrimp should be 16/20 or 20/24 in size. These were so small, flavorless and their version of cocktail sauce was canned tomato sauce with horseradish. Yuck. If you can’t manage to create a good cocktail sauce just give me the bottled version, please!

Service was horrible. On several occasions we had asked multiple times to several servers for napkins or utensils and even a sharing plate. We basically had to serve ourselves to get these items off other tables. Everytime we would ask at least 3x, get nothing and serve ourselves.

As I said earlier, when this place first opened years ago it was delicious, fresh, place was always full, lively. Now I know why it was empty. Waypoint next door was packed house. Felt like we should’ve gone there instead.

Don’t think I’ll be returning here. The reason I haven’t been here since pre Covid was because last time I came when the food was still good, there were flies ALL over my meal, company and landed on my food- we ate indoors and we’re not talking 1 pesky fly. Multiple to ruin my dinner experience and make me sick.

They need massive improvement or make room port of Egypt for a...

Efficient and good food, except for the dessert. The unlisted special appetizer was a grilled octopus on greens. It was superb. Moist, soft, and complex. The dressing was just right, meaning, minimal. Very impressed. The seared tuna was so-so. Clearly nothing special about the cut of tuba. Although, it was sushi grade, it lacked in flavor. The Japanese shoyu dressing was flavorful enough and as were its sauces and garnishes. The fish in itself was mediocre. The waiter, Jeff, was excellent. Attentive, professional and patient. The server, on the other hand needs to be retrained. He placed one main on top of someone's napkinwhile that person was un the restroom. Thereby, having the plate un an off kilter resting position. That turned me off. Another observation was when the server cleared the plates and cutlery from the appetizers, they did not replace my fork. Therefore, when the main arrived, I had to ask for a fork. That was annoying. These small things make a difference. Also, the PEI mussels were delicious. Too bad the server removed the plate without asking as we were dipping bread into the sauce. Yes, the mussels were devoured, but the sauce was still being worked on. The dessert, which was a key lime pie was probably not made with actual key lime. If it was, then the next criticism would be that the custard base used un the pie was terrible. Clearly, this dessert was not fresh and just really below par. It's as if they gave up on the last leg of the meal. Dessert should be equally fresh as the mains and appetizers. After all, it is the last impression you give to your departing guests. Notwithstanding, I would return. I just won't...

Met some friends for a Thursday evening dinner, hoping for some great water views and elevated seafood. What a disappointment. Waited 1.5 hours after our appetizers for dinner to be delivered. When we asked about the delay, our waitress was flippant and acted shocked that we would even question the service. No apology or offer to look into it, just two other servers bringing out our food suddenly appear after we complain twice. Appetizers were run of the mill. For $18 and over per, I was expecting at least some interesting presentation. The meal was worse. Pasta with clams - don't bother. For a chef who also runs a specialty Italian eatery - a Mano, you would think he could pair pasta with sauce. You would be wrong. Clam sauce that just splashed around undercooked noodles without a trace of garlic. Awful. My husband was served a pitiful lobster roll that was the size of a tiny supermarket hot dog bun and just as ordinary, as it was mostly mayo. For our portion of the bill, $120, I could have bought groceries for a week. I am a local, and recommend you head elsewhere to save yourself the aggravation and disappointment. Maybe at some point in the past, Alure was a 5 star eatery. Now it's just a tired and lazy tourist trap. Try Windemere at Strong's marina for on-point food and crisp attentive service, with marina views! For pasta that is a delight for the senses, including pairing the right noodles with sauces, head to...

A Lure never disappoints. The view is amazing. The rear outdoor patio is very scenic and beautifully done. I had made 8pm reservations for a Friday for my husband and myself. I had a perfectly made spicy margarita and then we ordered a Cesar salad and sautéed calamari to start with. Both delish. The calamari was so tender and the salsa was fantastic. Nice, healthy app! I ordered the grilled swordfish with “forbidden rice” and mango salsa. It came with some very fresh green beans. The fish was cooked perfectly. I had never seen black rice before but the flavors were outstanding with the coconut and mango combo. I would eat this every night if i could. My husband ordered the macadamia-coconut crusted flounder. The fish was fried and had a delicious crust. Very large portions. It also came with green beans but the sweet potato purée was so good that I wanted it to be the last thing I tasted! The service was excellent and the restaurant is decorated perfectly with elegant nautical vibes….and you cannot beat that view! They have curtains to separate the dining room for private parties and the bar was packed last night. Big parking lot and very easy to get to. Highly recommended!

Good luck making a choice. I was torn between the flounder and cod. I went with the cod. Coconut Macadamia crusted cod with sweet potato puree, green beans, and a key lime sauce. Oh boy, was that the right choice. It was delicious and gave me 2 nights of small size leftovers. Mom and I split the crab cake appetizer. It was quite delightful. Buttery soft. Tasted like all crab. The service was quite slow. The waiter came to the table a few times and didn't take our order. There was a sign out front asking us to be patient, so we obliged. It was a bit pricy, but that's what you get for fine dining on the north fork. It's worth it for a fancy night out, wiith local options and flair. The view is spectacular. Being next to the water makes me so happy. It was a great choice bc my mom knows someone who knows the owner and we had to try it out at some point. Thank you.
