Ledge Rock at Whiteface — Hotel in Town of Wilmington

This was such a memorable experience for my family and I. We were really looking for a spot that was secluded from the city where you will feel safe and feel one with nature. We could not have picked a more perfect spot. Roger is truly radiant with an unwavering commitment to hospitality and making you feel like home. His son, Josh was also incredibly insightful and ensured you were comfortable during your stay. He was always checking in and Roger, with his larger than life presence and humor will keep you smiling throughout. He is very accommodating and his mantra is to keep everyone happy during their stay. Upon our very first day checking in after a long drive, Roger lit up the entire area playing traditional Bangladeshi music as a symbol of inclusivity and warmth in welcoming my family. My parents were beaming with nostalgia and he set the tone from that very first moment-make yourself at home at Ledge Rock. Indeed! As far as safety goes, this place is safe and abides by all COVID restrictions to keep you and your loved ones safe. Social Distancing is possible with other patrons. It is also only 10 minutes away from Lake Placid and all the tourist sites. There are several firepits in the lodge area including a barbecue grills. It is the perfect site to have the thrill of having a firepit under a beautiful starlit sky with the comfort of a lodge in close proximity. Waking up to majestic views of the mountains was definitely a delight and something we now reminisce about. There is a rustic, country feel, tint and vibe to your stay, something that can be so different when you live in a bustling city, yet so familiar at the same time. This trip definitely marks one of of our favorite parts during the pandemic, simple everyday moments that bring families together feeling at "home" again. If you are looking for a place to escape and feel at home at the same time, I highly recommend this special place. Roger and Josh: Thank you again for all your warmth and hospitality. Look no further!!! This is the place you are looking for. It's cozy, quaint and the owner Roger and his son will make sure you have everything you need. Oh and what a view!!!!We we looking for a place to stay for a bike race my hubs had in Willmington. A friend recommended this place and without hesitation we booked. I was immediately greeted by Roger, who is the most attentive and gracious host ever! Along with Laska (his faithfull companion) he showed us to our room and I was impecable. Everything was spotless and smelled very good, bed was comfy, plenty of towels and throws. It was chilly so without asking, Roger quickly brought a heater that did it's job! After a restfull night, we were off to racing mtb and when we came back, Roger and his son made sure to let us know, "take your time, don't rush to check out." They were so sweet! We are defenitely coming back!!! If u want to feel like you are home away from home with the best view of Whiteface mountain slopes, LOOK NO FURTHER!!! Thanks Roger and family, for treating...

The view is the absolute best around, can’t deny it. But the view came at the cost of comfort and basic accommodations. The beds were very uncomfortable, the furniture has seen better days and the wiring of appliances and lighting etc made for a concerning stay, thank goodness there were two exits. Plus the coffee pot in the room hadn’t been cleaned from the previous use. We stayed for two nights, the room wasn’t serviced ( don’t know if we had to ask). But we were out all day and when we came back we could live with another night without dry towels or the bed not being made, so no marks taken for that. Although the view was beautiful the grounds were less than picturesque, cars for sale and other miscellaneous (junk?) were scattered about the property.
