I arrived here back in Oct 2020 without a reservation and the younger lady took my I.D to the back, I had to wait about 5 or 10 minutes in the dark night with my cab driver waiting there to make sure nothing went wrong. Very sketchy feel to the place at night; I eventually got my I.D and key back. The front desk worker also asked for a $50 deposit which I never got back. Once I was handed my key for the first time and went to the room, I went to turn the light switch on on the wall and the light didn't turn on. I arrived around 8 o'clock so it was pitch black dark already, I had to use phone light to navigate through the dark room to find another switch.
It has a weird vibe at the place and a very sketchy location, I already knew I wouldn't be sleeping on the bed; I checked the mattress and between the headboard and found bed bugs there so I had to sleep by putting two of the chairs together which luckily did not have bed bugs. Very minimum room with a small soap bar and no shampoo. The chain lock was also broken and the lock on the doorknob didn't work so could only use the deadlock.
Next morning I woke up before check out and saw a very heavily damaged SUV in the parking lot with their tailoghts spray painted red that was obviously broken and dented fenders, the SUV had both the driver's door and the back door opened wide open with a man slumped over in the driver's seat with half his body sticking out of the car, may possibly been on drugs and asleep. The outside of the motel was also unkempt with weeds everywhere and the trailer park sitting right behind it overshadows the general feeling of the place. The older front desk lady was very nice though, and let me go back to my room after handing in the key at checkout because I forgot my phone inside the hotel room. However, as I said before I never received my "security" deposit back so be wary of that. I also told them about the bedbugs and the older lady responded saying that it was because of Covid? I'm not sure what she meant, but okay. I understand it's their only means of living but they should do a better job with the upkeep of things.
I would only stay here if you are arriving late from out of state from the airport and need a quick place to go sleep or on a budget which is what I did; even then though I would suggest finding a better hotel. I'd suggest going to the Comfort Suites about 15 minutes from there. I stayed there and it was a night and day difference! It's way more pricey but it's worth the night or two especially if you just arrived...
Read moreIf you’re looking for an extremely rude manager at the front desk with third world customer service, water temperature in the shower that is hard to control, and roaches, don’t wait--you’ll find it at all Amazon Motel. ||||When I checked in, I questioned the reservation fee, as my booking company told me to do at check in. I wanted to check with the booking co. because the manager was going to charge it. While I called and was trying to listen to the phone menu, the manager said to me that I was very cheap and said he wanted me to cancel my reservation because he would make more money on someone else. As I talked to a live person on the phone, he raised his voice and aggressively repeated a few times he would cancel my reservation, waving hand gestures and all. The booking co. was no help and I had to walk the angry manager back from the ledge so we could keep our room. I was never rude or loud. I simply said I needed to call the company to ask about the issue. His reaction was unbelievable and unnecessary. On the plus side, the housekeeping did well and the room was clean. Just not the blanket covers. If you don’t like body support when you sleep, the super soft mattresses will cradle you like a hammock.||||Oh! One tip to make your stay better: bring roach spray or traps so you can fend off the roaches, and of course, don’t leave your food out or they’ll help themselves. ||||Another tip! If you don’t want to hear noise from upstairs guests, bring the earplugs on. Ceilings aren’t made of brick. If you’re hoping to avoid the historic trend of negative experiences with the front desk/manager reported by your fellow travelers, roll the dice. I was hoping I would avoid it too, but it didn’t take much to trigger the guy into shouts...
Read moreWhat A NIGHTMARE! Owner kicked us out after 5 Minutes! Worst experience I've had at a hotel and I travel year around for my job. I checked in here with my wife and 11 month old son, we get to the room and from the parking lot we could hear someone screaming and banging things, we got into the room and realized it was coming from right above us, it was 12am by this time. My wife was breastfeeding our son and I called the office to politely ask if he could do anything about the noise, he acted like he had no idea what I was even saying and made me repeat my self 5 or 6 times. than instead of doing something to help us, he comes to our door as soon as I opened it he starts giving me an attitude and asking what MY problem is! I explain the situation again and he say I don't hear anything, what's your problem! And continues to speak to me rudely. I say "okay thanks" and shut the door, he knocks again! This time pushing his way into our room! With me in my boxers and my shirtless wife feeding our son, he starts screaming that we have to get out and he'll refund us! I tell okay fine, give us 5 minutes to put our clothes on and get our bags out, he refuses to leave! I tell him "please! My wife is feeding my son, we'll be out in 5 minutes!" He still won't leave, just keeps saying get out! Go! Get out! After we leave the room, we call the booking agency to tell what happpened and to arrange a refund, they call the hotel and he tells them we just left on our own! And refuses to refund our payment, then he comes out to our car swearing at us and telling us to get off the property. What a night! The booking agency ended up giving us a credit when they heard what happened. Stay...
