Terrace Motel — Hotel in Tucson

This place was horrible. Rented a room for week. They didn't tell us until after we paid that there was a 20 deposit for the key. Had a nice pool but when we went to get in we were run off cause it was closed. At one point seen the owner wetting a mop in the pool. AC quit the second night we were there, they claimed to have cable but we could not get but 1 channel (come to find they they hadn't given us a remote for the TV) Drawers from dresser and nightstand were missing, no secure fastener on bathroom window. There was an unplated receptacle by the door that had wires exposed where the curtain could easily get into it. Was also told we were only allowed a limited amount of luggage in the room. Upon checking out a day early, the owner inspected the room and refused to refund the 20 for the key on the premise that the towels were dirty. Guess we were not supposed to use them. Avoid...

Although it was one of the only hotels/motels that had an available room and didn't have an outrageous security deposit, it was pretty gross. The mini-fridge door was covered with gross sticky stuff (I put a napkin on it so we could open and close the door...and it stuck) and that area didn't have a light that worked (one of several areas). The towels had stains and we're super tiny and the comforter had cigarette burn holes. We arrived really late at night and was shocked when someone came knocking on our door to tell us that check-out was at 10:00 am (it was 10:10). The place is what you would expect from a Tucson slumlord. The grounds and rooms are filthy. Black mold in the shower. The refrigerator didn't work. An old tube tv. And the owner is conscious of covid threat but doesn't follow guidelines. Nice pool, but he won't open it. Strung out addicts knock on the door looking to score all day and night. The electrical system is unsafe and there is no smoke alarm. The dresser was busted and only two drawers worked. And of course, it's roach infested. It's not worth the money.
