I recently stayed at this charming bungalow and couldn't be happier with my experience. While it might not be rated 5 stars, people need to understand that you get a fantastic value for your money here. This is the perfect spot for travelers willing to sacrifice luxury for just the necessities, and get outside to explore.

The bungalow comes with all the essentials: a microwave, TV, clean sheets, clean towels, fridge, and a working AC. The shower and toilet were fully functional as well. For me, this stay was a 5-star experience because it provided exactly what I needed. The fact that it’s a bungalow, not just a hotel room, made it even more special. The bedsheets were clean, there were no disturbances during the night, and the air conditioner kept the room pleasantly cold all night.

The staff was incredibly nice and friendly, and the manager is a legend. I felt safe and secure, which allowed me to rest, heat up leftovers, and recharge for more adventures. Each bungalow also has a bench out front where you can sit and relax, which I really appreciated.

I would definitely stay here again. However, if you’re someone who values luxury above all else, this might not be the place for you. But for travelers looking for a safe place to rest with all the necessities, this is a great choice. I’ve seen other reviews mention parking issues, but I didn't encounter any problems. There is parking available, and you can park right in front of your bungalow with no issues.

Thank you for the wonderful stay! I will definitely be back for my...

We checked in on April 26th and immediately noticed that the room smelled strongly of smoke, though we initially hoped it would air out. After returning from a trip to Joshua Tree, we discovered that the electrical outlets and heating system were not functioning. A space heater was brought in, but it was too hot to touch, raising serious fire safety concerns.

Even more disturbing, we found exposed wires on the walls, and behind the building, there was a three-pronged plug dangerously forced into a two-prong outlet, lying directly in the dirt. This appeared to be the main power source for our room — a major electrical hazard.

I asked to be moved to another room. While the second room initially seemed better, we discovered what looked like blood splatter all over the mattress pad when we pulled back the sheets. At that point, we decided to leave for our own health and safety.

Upon returning the key, the man at the front desk was rude and dismissive, telling us we would receive no refund. While I understand the no-refund policy, it was agreed to under the assumption that minimum safety and hygiene standards would be met — which they clearly were not.

This experience was unacceptable. I lost my money, but thankfully, not my safety or well-being. I strongly urge others not to patronize this establishment. Unsafe wiring, unsanitary bedding, and complete disregard for guest concerns are not only unprofessional — they’re dangerous.

The place looks nice. The owner is not; possibly an evil spirit inhabiting a human suit.

I booked and paid for a room; I am the only 1 sleeping there, but I have 2 people that just need to use the shower and go back to their camp. We’ve been hiking for a few days and I haven’t had a shower for 5 days; I’m exhausted. When I asked if he’s good with 2 people taking a shower then leaving, his entire demeanor changed. It became about money, getting a new room, he wouldn’t let me speak and talked over me. Money doesn’t matter to me, I was okay paying to let them shower, but he wanted to change the rooms and was spewing so much toxic negative energy I just could not handle it. I told him to keep the money and I left. He had so much negative, toxic energy I was okay paying $100 to not deal with him anymore.

I would have ran if my legs weren’t sore from hiking all day. I recommend you run as well and don’t come here.

To the owner: please be kinder to people. I couldn’t even comprehend denying people I’m hosting a shower, and to treat people with such hostility. You were dealing with a kind person who would go out of his way for people, and regularly does, and you managed to hurt my heart in a very short amount of time. Take that free $100 I gave you and go get a massage and go meditate on a rock somewhere. You’re a sad, dishonest person. I hope you can get better somehow and...

Clean, affordable, and fun. I loved the unique, colorful rooms and the great view. The beds were comfortable and bed bug free (crucial during these current times). In fact, when I was doing my regular bed bug inspection, I found that their mattresses and pillows are wrapped in plastic covers! Very pleased with that. The rooms are spacious and even have a mini kitchen section, which I found endearing. The only thing is I doubt they’ve ever vacuumed the floors. They’re covered in dirt and dust. My socks were completely black after walking around for 10 min. That was my one gripe.
