Caddo Lake is incredible and highly recommend going and experiencing the lake. Shady Glade has lake front marina. We stayed in one of the rooms across the street. The room has a coffee maker with coffee, refrigerator and a microwave. The two beds were comfortable. The important parts such as the beds table refrigerator and bathroom were clean. The rest of the room did have some dust on the decor blinds etc. The room is pretty old and in need of renovation. The decor was very appropriate with a focus on Caddo Indians. Sara was very helpful. My coffee maker needed to be replaced and they were very responsive and quickly replaced it. They do have 2 kayaks and a canoe for the guests to use. They were all in good shape and we enjoyed using the canoe. There is a restaurant on site but it was closed when we were there Fri-Sun. There are really limited options in Uncertain for food. Everything was contactless so that is good for social distancing in covid times. Over all a good experience.

For the location, this is a great place to lodge if you're exploring Caddo Lake. By a boat launch area to the lake itself and 5 mins from the entrance of Caddo Lake State Park. The "motor home" style lodging is quaint and surprisingly spacious. Suitable for both lone travellers and groups. The food options are limitrd, however, to a single cafe by the check-in office and a couple of joints/convenience stores in and around Uncertain, TX. Handy to bring your own food and use the kitchen and grill The owners are friendly and welcoming. I would've given 5 stars but some of you may find the cleanliness could be improved. In general, it's still quite good but the vents and flooring may be a bit dusty or rusty. Still, for a 2-star hotel in a remote location, it will meet your needs well!

Lake is great and the Boat tour was great. We just chose the wrong place to stay in. Their trailer #2 needs to be completely redone. Way over priced. Pots and pans had old food stuck to them and were very old. Every pan had the teflon peeling and looked like Grandma left them when she left. The place had not been dusted in a year or so. There was a soft spot in the floor and when it was stepped on, my foot went through the floor. Carpet smelt and was old and dirty. The fold out bed looked like it was from a WWII hospital and all the mattresses were old and worn out. Pick another place to sleep in. Trailer #2 is from the 70's and hasn't been upgraded at all.

Website is misleading - Lakeside Cabins #1 and #2 should be renamed "parking lot storage sheds". We chose them online over the motel rooms, assuming that "lakeside" was going to be next to the water and quieter than the "motel". And the attempt to cover the fiberglass prefab storage sheds in some wood veneer to look like rustic cabins was not very successful.

Upon arrival we discovered the two "cabins" are directly on the marina/restaurant parking lot, next door to the cafe, about 75ft from water. On weekends there are people coming and going all day and all night in the parking lot - boaters putting in and taking out their boats - kids partying - restaurant customers coming and going.

We had a large pick up revving and idling for hours in the middle of the night right outside our window on the first night. We went out a few times to ask them to move or turn off the engine, only to find kids too drunk to even understand us, let alone cooperate with our request.

The piers and marina have a nice view, and the cafe serves up some good Texas home cooking. But rooms were definitely not worth the...

Very friendly folks. Just recovering from the flooding the week before so the cafe was restocking items. Luckily, we didn't want any of the stuff they were out of. Great dock that the kids fished off. We enjoyed the loan of the canoe as it allowed us to explore the lake. My niece and nephew had never fished before and they were in hog heaven pulling in over thirty perch and catfish! They had success both dockside and in the boat on the lake. We also took the tour with Richard early Saturday morning. He is very nice, and knowledgeable of the history of the lake. It was fantastic to see how large an area it actually covers and all the little hidden coves. Motel rooms were clean. Fridge, microwave, coffee pot. Large closet was great for keeping out stuff out of our way and off the floor. Kept our little room tidy. All in all we had a very nice lite...
