I wish I could give this zero stars. Most of these five stars are clearly from the locals. Right from the start it wad a bad experience. The lady manager wad seriously rude to us, yelled at us when we asked for a booth. There were many booths available. I'm handicap and have a hard time sitting in regular chairs. We thought the server would redeem this place because she started out being nice. Then, ignored us the whole time we sat. I am not an entitled person who expects much from a place. But we needed Napkins and ketchup and my husband had to go get it from the bar. No big deal. My croissant egg sandwich tasted like onions as if they cooked it right after making grilled onions. I couldn't eat it. Onions make me sick. So being that the server ignored us, even though we tried flagging her down, I didn't eat the food. My husband's omelet was some kind of scramble that he didn't order. He still ate it because he was hungry and we couldn't get the server to notice us.
I walked out, the server saw me put my coat on and walk out (can't mistake me going to the bathroom because the door was in the opposite direction). She watched me walk out and saw that my husband was waiting for the check. Why did I call my husband almost 10 minutes later to ask why he hadn't paid and come out? He was still waiting for the server to come over.
When he went to pay, that same rude manager lady "dealt" with him. He tried to explain that my food I couldn't eat and she gave him attitude about not believing him. (I was on the phone with him while he was dealing with her) I let him know to tell her to go ask the kitchen and see my full and uneaten food.
Sorry this is long. But like I said, it seems like the locals leave the good reviews. Or maybe a lucky person here and there who may have missed this terrible staff. Who knows.
Oh, and my husband tried to round the bill up to an even number and they overcharged the card. He didn't want to go back in and deal with them, and I don't blame him. Enjoy your free money and I hope you seriously do a revamp on the staff and...
Read moreI was in town for a convention and was tired after a day at nearby Dorney Park, so I stopped in here super late at night after a small nap at my hotel room. I wasn't disappointed!
This diner is modernized art deco glitz and glamour at its finest, it really is a stunning building inside and out. They don't make them like this anymore, and it shows from the 90's new art deco design to the CD-based jukeboxes with every booth - sadly mine didn't work. Very charming! Walking in, the place is clean and doesn't smell like you'd expect a diner to smell. I found the service to be quite good, with the staff being very friendly and helpful. My waitress Johanna was very kind and helpful my entire meal, even late at night.
I had the Caesar chicken wrap, some fries and a Cherry Coke. Everything was tasty and came out fresh and hot - though to be honest I was expecting a cold wrap not a hot one. This really is classic diner fare at it's tastiest and the portions are big! You will get what you pay for here, at least two meals worth. I didn't try act desserts because I was too full, and the salad bar wasn't open or else I'd have tried that too - it looked delightful and it's a real classic soup and salad bar, nowhere really does that anymore!
I only gave this place 4 stars because it's way too expensive for diner fare. I know the tariffs have been a monster in 2025 but this is just ridiculous. My very humble meal set me back $19, that's what I expect to pay at a very nice restaurant not a diner off the highway. No daily specials I could see either. Just too expensive for travelers to take advantage of.
If the price is not an issue for you though, you'll like this place. Give it a shot, I was very pleasantly...
Read moreThe best diner in Lehigh Valley. Food good, staff very friendly and accommodating. Stavros and Beth are both managers who know their customers and conduct themselves professionally. The Lacas brand of coffee that they use at this restaurant is a superior product. They also serve pretty high quality meats . The salad bar is consistently being cleaned and restocked. The entire establishment is very clean, including the restrooms. A good spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Had breakfast the other day. Bacon and cheddar omelette was delicious!
Paid a visit to Starlite Diner again last Sunday and was treated to another great experience at this restaurant. Breakfast was hot and delicious and was served very quickly. Service was excellent as always. Still a good value and my go to place for breakfast. I strongly suggest you try Starlite Diner! Went to Starlite again the other day and this restaurant is still consistently clean and service was attentive and food was excellent.
I continue to patronize Starlite Diner and am still pleased with this eating establishment. All of the staff are friendly and courteous and service is excellent. The food is always served quickly with a smile. Stavros, the manager, always greets us with a warm welcome and seats us expeditiously ! He is the reason for Starlite’s success. I look forward to my next visit to Starlite Diner in Fogelsville, on Rt 100, right off I-78, near Tilghman Street.
Visited Starlite early August,2022. Enjoyed a Greek omelette and my wife had the salad bar. Food still good although prices are up a bit as it is everywhere. Server...
