The bed was nice and the people working there were nice. From there my experience goes down hill a little. The carpet was filthy, it hadn't seen a vacuum in a very long time. The refrigerator was filthy and had an odor. Leaving the door shut alleviated that problem. I'm not going to be too critical of the extreme safety hazard that a broken prong of a 2 prong 120VAC plug created in the accessory outlet on the bedside lamp. (It was the smaller of the 2 prongs, or 'hot' prong) It would have been hard for a housekeeping person to notice and perhaps the guest that created the hazard didn't bring it to anyone's attention. When I did the manager was very concerned and I'm sure he addressed it right away. (Room 107). There was no accommodation for breakfast, most Super 8's offer a 'breakfast bag' but not this one. That was unfortunate because those will usually get you down the road to your first gas stop.

Our room was dated but comfortable (bathroom had some updates) and the AC worked without a crazy racket. Nothing posh, but totally functional. The “breakfast,” however, was beyond pathetic. Coffee, OJ, and a tray of small, soggy muffins (see photo). Thinking we were just down too early, we asked and we’re told, no, that’s it, due to Covid. Our family has stayed at least nine times at other Wyndham properties over the past year, so I’m not expecting a full cooked breakfast or anything, but only soggy muffins? Off to find food somewhere else. **EDIT: I accidentally left my laptop charger in the room. Unfortunately, it has not been found, but I do have to give kudos to the desk clerk who went and checked in the housekeeping carts on multiple floors, just in case it had been picked up but not moved to the lost and found. It was a thorough effort, and I very much appreciate the time involved.

BED BUGS! 12/7/2023 left at 12:20am. Staff wouldnt give me any sort of print out or check out saying I would need to call management in the morning for a refund. Will update service rating after that call/update this review when I know more. For the time being stay elsewhere. Always check your rooms before getting to cozy. Sorry for the language in the video, I was/am livid.

I often wonder if reviews are written by managers! I chose this hotel over the Holiday Inn across the street based on the reviews. The reviews are misleading, for the most part.

Staff - I came in with no reservation and the staff was very friendly and courteous

Breakfast - Continental, but very basic. Donuts, waffles, english muffins. Nothing spectacular, but you are paying a low rate, so this didn't phase me.

Room - Ok, where to start. I read that the pillows were fluffy and sounded really nice. I had a king bed and the bed had 3, small pillows. The pillows had been flattened out so they "stretched" the width of the bed. I like my pillows! Not that big of a deal, but for me, it was disconcerting. The bathroom,,,,,that is another issue. I go to turn on the shower, and the water coming out of the spicket for the tub is just shooting out, so I think, man this shower is going to be great. I like a high pressure shower. I look up, and the shower head is at about 5 feet from the floor. I am 6'1". So the shower head is at about the top of my chest. I am wondering if they put me in a room for short people. That stunk. Get done with the shower and get a towel, and the towel isn't big enough to wrap around my waste, and I ain't a big person. Possibly the smallest towels I have ever seen in a hotel. I would say about 30" x 15". I needed two to dry off, and they are very cheap. Wash clothe even seems small. MAYBE IT REALLY WAS A ROOM FOR SMALL PEOPLE!

The bed itself was fine. No issue there. Room had enough area and the wi-fi worked good.

Beyond those quirks, the hotel is clean. I just wouldn't let some of these reviews mislead you. You truly get what you pay for. If you are a semi tall person, be prepared to do aerobics in the shower, to wash your hair and your face, or maybe you need to ask for a room for...

For friendliness, the person who helped me gets a 5/5, but the cleanliness is a 1 out of 5. I switched to several rooms before settling on the one I spent the night in. The first room had a slow draining tub...shower water was up to two to three inches, and building, before I even got into the tub for my shower. The second room had a very strong offensive smell. Third room had hair in the tub. Finally, the fourth room seem fine at first with morning surprises. First surprise, tub drained a little better but still slow...just stood at the opposite end of the shower head to stay out of the slow draining water. Second surprise was the strong perfume smell from the sheets and pillow case. I thought it was a detergent smell. But the next morning upon further inspection, the smell emulated only from the area of where a previous guest had slept! Had the sheets been changed? Ewww!! Third surprise, the toilet seat had been painted to look newer but the paint was terribly peeling off. How can this seat be cleaned if the peeling paint hold pockets of nasty toilet water and who knows what else!! Final surprise of the morning was the underside of the bed comforter had a dirty spot that looked like dried nasal mucus! Ewww times 2!! I will never stay at this...
