One of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had, anywhere. The place was mostly empty (I now know why), but service was still slow and inept, because there were only two people working the tables. There were six in our party. When our room temperature food arrived, one person's order was missing. The waitress explained that they were out of the entree. She offered to take another order, expedite it, and comp it, but it still took forever to come out. As we ate she was at the counter texting, then speaking loudly on her phone, apparently being blamed for something and trying to shift blame to someone else. I don't know if it was about our botched order, but it could well have been. I asked for mustard for my burger twice, and eventually had to get up to get it. Refills were painfully slow coming. The rest of us were done eating way before the missing meal finally came out. Why did they wait to say anything until the rest of the food was out? I was still hungry for something sweet when I finished, but there was no way I was going to order anything else from this place, regardless how many pies they had available. I went to the gas station across the street and it was a far better experience than any...
Read moreWhere to begin. I entered the restaurant at 5:10 am, first customer of the day. A man with a large tattoo on his forehead that seated me asked what I'd like to drink. He then informed me they had no coffee. Apparently, only management could operate the machine, and the manager hadn't arrived yet. Strike #1. Pearle, the waitress promptly came to take my order. While waiting for my food, I noticed how filthy the floors were. Strike #2. It didn't look like they had been vacuumed in quite some time. Within a few minutes, my order arrived. At that time, Pearle told me they didn't have any blueberry muffins, so I chose cranberry. Strike #3. The hash browns, sausage links, and bacon were barely warm. Strike #4. At this time, numerous fruit flies descended on my table. Strike #5. After finishing what was edible, I walked up to pay. While waiting, I noticed that the display cases for the bakery goods as well as the counter were filthy. Strike #6. Of course, no one was available to take my money, so I placed a $20 on the counter and left. Strike #7. If I had stayed any longer, I'm sure I would have struck out the side. One positive was that the large clock on the wall displayed the correct time. I'm praying I don't get...
Read moreUpdate 09/30/22 - I have downgraded my review. While the service was good and the food was tasty, my husband asked for no salt on his fries. He asked that his fries be remade as he thought he tasted added seasoning. I realize that it could have been originally made correctly but his meds has affected his sense of taste. He was satisfied with the replacement. He couldn't finish his meal and asked for a to go box. This was brought to him and he packed the half of a sandwich and the remaining fries from the replacement serving. Our dining experience was ruined however because we could hear very clearly the line cooks loudly ridiculing him throughout our meal. First when he sent his fries back (which he left behind) and his choice to take home the rest of the replacement fries. I told the person at the register when I paid for my meal. I received an apology from her but that was it. I'm not confrontational so I didn't press the matter further but I felt that we could have at least been directed to a manager. I didn't insist on recompense but a coupon or small discount would have been appreciated. We will...
