Arrived mid afternoon in mid-February and was told they were full and they had no rooms available. Fortunately I was not speaking to the normal counter person. We in fact had a reservation which I produced and after some discussion they in fact recognized us and confirmed they had a room for us.The room was clean but dusty, my wife took a wipe and went around dusted the flat surfaces. I'm not a big fan of hard wood floors in motels but if it prevents bugs and pet odors it's a plus. No breakfast and there was no coffee maker in the room. (This was advertised as a superior king room.) When we asked for a coffee maker we were brought one but it was an in home model and we had no grounds. The room did have a microwave and refrigerator which we used. The room was supposed to be non-smoking but we detected the faint smell of cigarette smoke the minute we stepped into the room. It seemed like the smell may have been embedded in the mattress as it seemed stronger around the bed.The location for us was great! The next day we were taking the ferry into San Francisco and the motel was super close to do that. All in all this seemed to be a working mans motel with long term weekly guests and maybe not the best of stays for the average tourist. Parking was tight with the easy possibility of door damage. The price of $86 inc.tax seemed a little high for...
Read moreI hate to leave bad reviews, but in this case I have to,all the reviews from here are hella old, I'm curious to see if this one is posted, one of the worse hotels that I've stayed in, the room was way outdated, the 2 pillows on bed didn't even make one decent together .bedspread was dirty, and smelly.. There were only 3 plugs and you had to pick which was more important the tv or refrigerator because there was only room for one,my husband went to home Depot and bought a splinter to use while we were there, the rug was filthy I walked around in my socks and they were all black on the bottom no outlet in the bathroom at least none that we could find and we looked everywhere!! 😞 the shower was a joke I pee more than the shower lets out water, seriously not trying to be gross but that's the best I could compare it to we were very disappointed. the manager was polite but we arrived 1130pm he said checkout was at 10am but inside 11:00 was posted for checkout?I paid double what I would've at a motel 6. no ice bucket, or coffee pot ,only 2 plastic cups and 1 little bar of soap and towels old and thin...don't waste your...
Read moreI visit Vallejo 7-8 times a year and if I don't stay with friends, I stay at Budget Inn. Budget Inn's rates are particularly good for weekly stays. Unlike several other motels in Vallejo, it's not directly on the freeway, so you avoid that all-night noise. I've stayed at several other motels in the area in the past, and Budget Inn has the friendliest and most attentive staff and management. It's simple, basic shelter for those on a "budget".||||The unit I stayed in this time had a complete kitchenette with large refrigerator, 4 burner range, microwave, even a dish drying rack, ice cube trays and dish soap. There is a nice Safeway store in a 4 minute driving distance, as well as a top rated sushi restaurant. Downtown Vallejo has the best BBQ this side of the Oakland Hills (Gracie's). All within less than 5...
