Disgusting and riddled with a lack of maintenance, cleaning, and overall upkeep. I have slept better on a cot in a war zone than I did during my stay at this motel. There were multiple problems and was placed in three different rooms because of maintenance issues. I wasn't expecting an amazing stay, I was ok the place hasn't been updated since the 80s. But the condition and cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. - Main door would not shut all the way and door lock didn't work. - Toilet would not flush (mentioned by other reviews) - Electrical outlet near the bed was hanging partially out of the wall. Ready for a child to grap and pull out all the way. - Shower in all three rooms were disgusting. There was red/brown and black gunk in-between the shower tiles, assumed to be mold. It was easily dislodged with my finger and was on tiles as high as eye level. I'm confident cleaning with a brush would remove a lot of the gunk. - Bathroom vent fan was broken. - toilet seat had brown streaks on the surface, easily removed with Clorox wipes.

The staff is friendly and the price is good but the property needs some upgrades and better cleaning. Upon arriving there was a previous guest's dirty socks at the side of the bed, used towels still hanging in the door, hair in the shower, a broken nightstand between the beds with the shelf just laying on the floor, stains on the sheets, on the floor and on the walls. What looked like blood stains on one of the pillows. Stains on the "clean" towels, Mildew in the shower tiles. A holder for a hair dryer but no dryer, lol. No housekeeping service during our stay, a tray in the microwave that didn't fit so it just kept tipping and wouldn't stay level. Coffee left in the coffee pot for who knows how long, long enough there was mold growing in it. It's also a bit noisy being that close to the highway. Other than that again the staff was nice and a basic breakfast is included. And a small fridge and microwave are in the rooms.

Location: very close to places I wanted to go, but also right off the main road, and all the car\truck noises were very audible all night.

Service: No problems with the service. Didn't really need anything. Complimentary Breakfast: not a great selection. The best I can say is that it was better than nothing, and there was milk. The muffins were small (that's good) but were terrible. There were ants near the dry cereal, so I did not have any. The waffles were self-cook and would have been great, but one side of the iron must not have been working, because that half of it didn't cook. The apple I had was good.

Room: (118) seemed clean, though there was someone's chicken leg in the fridge, wrapped in a napkin. The fridge & microwave worked. The sink was plumbed backwards (hot & cold reversed). The shower was plumbed sideways. Right & left were cold & a little to the right at the top was hot. There was a lot of temperature fluctuation during the shower, as if people turning on water or flushing the toilet in other rooms made a big difference. The bathroom vent didn't work at all, so it was like a sauna after a shower, and pungent if the toilet had been used. Some of my group said the cleaner smell was too strong, but it didn't bother me. The hair dryer worked and the bed was fine. I didn't use the TV, so no idea if it worked or not. We opened the window, and that was nice, but the screen was ripped at the bottom & bent, so bugs could have gotten in, but we closed it before dark. The towels were clean, but had a few hairs on them. The shower looked like it had mold on the grout.

It was cheap, but because of all the problems, I would not consider it a great value. If I'm ever in the area again, I don't plan...

I think this Motel has much better ratings than it should have. My room was 205 and the first thing I not was that the deadbolt wouldn't work on the door. That always feels so unsafe to me. Even the envelope for the key says to always lock the door. Well I couldn't, so I ended up pushing a chair up under the handle for the extra security. The next thing I noticed was that there was a holder for a blow dryer, but no blow dryer. Then I noticed that there was no remote control for the TV. They have Direct TV, but no remote to watch it. The toilet in the bathroom was dirty and looked like someone had used it in an emergency, if you know what I mean. I had to clean it myself with a tissue and hand sanitizer. The bed sheets had hair in them, which lead me to believe they hadn't been cleaned. The room smelled, the fridge was dirty, the bathtub creaked really bad and it took me forever to figure out how to turn on the water in the shower. For anyone crazy enough to stay here, you have to pull back the handle toward you to turn it on and hopefully the handle won't be broken and try to cut you like mine did. The only good thing about the room was the bed. I pulled back the sheet to check for bedbugs and the mattress was stained pretty bad, but I didn't find bedbugs and it was actually a pretty comfy bed. Luckily I was pretty busy during my stay in town, so I didn't have to spend very much time there. I have definitely learned my lesson to plan ahead so that I don't have to...
