Gateway Saloon — Restaurant in Vernal

For how much I love the people here (eh… most) the bar is very inconsistent when it comes to karaoke. Last night the DJ just decided she wanted to quit early because she “pulled a double and was tired.” Pretty unprofessional if you ask me. Did she go home? Of course not. Just stood around talking. If you have to make an employee work a double to do karaoke, then you should hire extra help. They say karaoke goes from 8-11, which would be fine if their DJ actually showed up and was ready by 8 and not 9:30. The lateness of karaoke starting has been going on for at least 2 months now, but then employees want to complain when I mention going later. Oh no, it’s not their fault they are late. It’s the customers fault wanting to do karaoke past 11. Make it make sense. Also, may want to hire someone that actually wants to be there and have fun rather than people that don’t even like karaoke. I’m sure that had a lot to do with quitting early. I’d be embarrassed about my business if I was there last night. Oh and don’t voice your concerns to the employees. They’ll just yell at you and tell you...

Soo it was exciting to think about 90s at the bar. So you enter hearing karaoke and someone singing songs from the 80s. DJ was not the best 😕 definitely no 90 tunes being played here on 90s night.
