From the well thought out design details to the handwritten note waiting in our room, every aspect felt like it was curated just for us.

The town itself is the most adorable spot for quaint shopping and antique perusing. Perfect for a quiet ‘hallmark’ weekend. Inclusive, welcoming and artsy are just a few words that come to mind to describe Princeton. The Parlor hotel & Horseradish have both contributed to making this small rural Wisconsin town feel like a safe, welcoming place for all people.

My partner and I stayed at the Parlor Hotel for my birthday and had the most wonderful time. Parlor is full of thoughtful details, and the customer service was second to none. This is a gem in Wisconsin, and we were delighted that it was only a quick hour drive from Madison. Matt and Greg were incredibly responsive, and made us feel welcome and cared for the entire weekend. As a queer couple in the Midwest, my partner and I are always considering safety and prioritizing being in spaces where we're celebrated, not just tolerated. Parlor Hotel is exactly that place! It's getting closer to midnight, and I am walking through this little town's downtown, looking into windows, into empty bars and empty hotels foyer.

And there it is, a piano ... is it tuned(?) ... can I just walk in (?) ... will I wake up everyone (?) ... my fingers are itching to play ... I see someone inside walking around ... and I meet the "Artist In Residence" painting a mural right opposite of this hotel, which is supporting not one, yes, two ARTIST IN RESIDENCE ... AMAZING ... .

... and there it is. The PIANO is tuned, kind of ... we talk ... we laugh ... we wonder about this small romantic town, which is in LOVE with THE ARTS and beauty:
