Checked in for what seemed a reasonable rate, $100/night price point. I picked this hotel because they are part of the Wyndham network, which I've always had great stays with.
The first room they put me in had a broken AC unit, which would not turn off the cool. When I switched it over to heat, the whole room was saturated in the delightful smell of burning pee. The shower also did not work, and the bathroom floor was dirty. I asked for a different room.
The second room they put me in had a less broken AC unit, which was fine. The room only came with one towel in the bathroom, which was fine. The air smelled very strongly of mildew, which made it hard to breathe for the entire night. All the flat surfaces in the room had some kind of semi-slippery film on them, which made one of my bags fall off the table, almost pulling the hotel TV onto the floor. The "high speed" wifi was abysmal, at less than 1mbps downstream, immeasurably slow upstream. I also burned the absolute hell out of my hand with the hot water out of the sink tap, it had to have been at least 120° F.
I didn't dare ask for a third room, it could have been even worse for all I know.
The workout room does not operate with normal hotel keys, because they would have had to spend money on that sort of thing. It is an old hotel room converted into a workout room, and they have to make you a card for it at the front desk. There is a camera in there so they can watch you sweat, they do sit at the front desk watching the cameras often. The wifi being so incredibly slow means you can't watch any video on a phone while you work out, or even listen to music, and the TV in the room doesn't work. The equipment is pretty barebones, consisting of a stationary bike, a treadmill, and some weight training equip. There is also a lovely water cooler that has little black bits of mold in the water it dispenses, and it appears that they just refill the jug with tap water instead of getting filtered or using a delivery service. There is no way to clean any of the equipment, which was fairly dirty when I got there, and the only 'cleaning' supplies in the room is a bottle of industrial odor neutralizer. Yuck.
I did not try the pool.
The only thing this place has going for it is that the staff are friendly.
If the rate was lower, I would say these things are to be expected. But at the price point of $100/night, I would expect better. There are plenty of other hotels in Washington for the same or cheaper, and if I end up staying in this area again, I'm going to be trying anyone other than...
Read moreRoom were clean and beautiful, balcony’s that made suites enjoyable. Indoor pool was awesome. Breakfast was great! Employees and staff members beside Josh and the Hispanic lady on nights. Everyone would seemed bothered or gave ugly looks to me and my children..stayed two weeks and had to be changed to different rooms. I was charged after the first week for two pillows and a HDMI cord that was mistakenly transferred to our second room by my child. Items were given back took three days for the charges to go back on the card even though they knew what room we were transferred to they could’ve just asked before charging. Then, during the second week of our stay, on the second day, housekeeping knocked on my door and asked if we had took a chair from the suite to the other room we were staying in that was just a double bed when they have cameras, and she could clearly see that no, we did not take a chair into our other room that we were given just ridiculous Not sure if it was because we’re Hispanic, and most of the people up here are Caucasian, that it automatically made. It seem that we were thieves. . Found a better hotel 20mins away and I have to say everyone has shown us such...
Read moreMy great niece had a birthday party here a couple of weekends ago and it was amazing. Check in went very smooth, I had made reservations earlier in the week. The lady who made the reservation was very kind. Our room was clean and roomy with 2 beds. We took full advantage of the pool and hot tub. The pool area was very clean. The guy at the desk made sure towels were readily available. The swimming pool water was warm and inviting. The vending machines offered a variety of snacks and drinks. We ordered our dinner from a variety of restaurants close to the hotel. After dinner we swam and used the hot tub. It was open until 10:00. After showers in our clean and well stocked bathroom it was lights out. No one had trouble sleeping because the hallway was very quiet. In the morning we went to the dining room for a delicious breakfast consisting of biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles, yogurt, juices, and coffee. The attendant on duty was very kind, helpful and patient with the children. We will certainly be back again. I highly recommend this hotel to all families looking for a family oriented place to spend a...
