Stayed for one night during a cross country drive. Excellent experience. Right off Interstate 80 (literally 1-2 minutes off exit.) Very kind staff at reception - met two brothers and one of their wives. Personable and professional. Easy check in. The lobby is very nice - lots of comfy seating options, a pool table and a decently stocked “market”. Microwaveable food available for purchase and several microwaves in this area - great if arriving late and want something quick and easy. Hallways, elevator and rooms were very clean. Our room was a double queen - spacious and comfortable. The pillows were great for my taste. The shades were a little confusing to figure out for me but once we got it, they allowed for complete black out. We couldn’t even tell if it was dark or light outside! Small, efficient fridge in room. Ample amount of towels. The soap and lotion dispensers look cool but are unusual - I squeezed way too hard and got a lot. Not a problem for me but I felt bad - wasted a lot of product. Soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner all smell great - light clean scents. Shower was a great size and well designed. We had great pressure on second floor. We could hear our neighbors but nothing loud and we slept like babies. For reference we were in Room 225. Complimentary wi-fi was strong and reliable - two of us were streaming shows on our devices. Lots of channels on the tv.
We used the fitness center - it is clean and well appointed. Did an hour on the treadmills plus some weights and stretching. Stayed for complimentary breakfast the next day and it was better than expected - hot and cold options. Very fun pancake making machine for kids and adults alike. What I liked was good protein options - yogurt, sausage (patties), fried eggs and hard boiled eggs. Also fruit, pastries, bagels, oatmeal with accouterments and a few other things (even peanut butter which is a nice option to balance out a carby bagel). The hot options were eggs and sausage (turkey sausage patties not links). I don’t eat sausage but my sister said it was very good. Checked out easily and staff were so nice - even comped two bottles of water for the road for us. Didn’t try the diner across the street but very close. We did visit the gas station across the street - great variety and friendly cashier. Pizza Hut, Super Walmart and a few other places less than five minute drive....

While this Tru by Hilton isn't terrible overall, several issues made my stay less comfortable than expected.
The biggest problem: The shower water pressure was extremely low, making it very difficult to rinse off properly. This significantly impacted my daily routine.
Privacy concerns: The windows only have sliding screens - no curtains or blackout shades. This was surprising and made it hard to feel private or control the light in the room.
Space issues: The king bed room felt quite cramped. There wasn't much room to move around or unpack comfortably, making the space feel claustrophobic for even a short stay.
Noise problems: The sound isolation is poor. I could clearly hear voices and movements from neighboring rooms throughout my stay, which was disruptive, especially in the evening and morning.
Hard flooring: The room has no carpet, only hard flooring. This makes every footstep echo loudly and creates a cold, less comfortable feel. It also contributes to the noise issue.
The hotel isn't all bad, but these issues - especially the shower pressure, lack of proper window coverings, noise problems, and cramped quarters - are significant enough that I'd hesitate to book here again unless...
Read moreI don't like giving anything less than a four-star at a hotel but this one has to get one less star. Checked in later in the evening wasn't told that water pressure and hotel had issue. So in the morning I could have dumped water with a cup faster on my head in the shower was working. Being a newly open hotel with surprised to find some sort of hair in my toilet. outside issues with the air conditioner not actually working. Damn would come on but no cold air will blow out adjust the thermostat several times throughout the night still nothing. Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night sweating and not being able to cool your room. Breakfast, uncomfortable bed was highlight of the stay. Breakfast was stocked and staff was very friendly. But in the morning the talk was about lack of water pressure and not being able to get a shower properly. I will say hotel manager has reached out for comment. As a writing this review I have not gotten contact with manager will update in future if issues have...
