Blue Ribbon Diner — Restaurant in Wauseon

What a fabulous place to dine. We are in town for the weekend and The Blue Ribbon was nearby and convenient. We went for dinner. Our food was fabulous and more than enough to fill us up. We decided to try them again for breakfast. WOW!!! What great food and so much of it!!! The omelets were amazing!! They were fluffy with lots of what we wanted inside. Pancakes are great too!! None of us finished our breakfast. If you are traveling and don't want leftovers I would suggest sharing a meal.

In addition to great food, there were many little things that made our experience even better. We were greeted and seated promptly, restaurant was clean, bathrooms clean, as I've said - generous amounts of food, all food hot and freshly prepared, drinks refilled, and both waitresses (actually everyone) kind and pleasant. We had Deb Z. for breakfast and she was exceptional and accommodating!!! She went over and above what I would expect and made us feel like nothing we requested was a problem.

This used to be a great place to gather however this last owner has let it go downhill as far as food quality. Chicken and bacon should not be ordered. Very low quality and cooked all wrong. The salad is a leftover with brown edged lettuce see thru cucumber slices and dried out tomatoes. Chicken strips were dry and hard. So overcooked I could not chew. Stringy hard and dry. Forgot how bad from last time we were here and I ordered again . (My fault.) Fries are ok but they need an oil change. Club sandwich ok but bacon tasted funny and was very loose. Yuck. No sweet tea , no liver and onions . No pork chops even though on menu and it was a Thursday evening and looked sad for the weekend crowd. Very subpar dining anymore .. pie case looked unclean. Server was sweet and efficient. She needs a better place to work. We used to drive from Toledo to have a great dinner but living now in wauseon I won't go back! Spent 30$ on leftovers. get better quality from your suppliers or change. Maybe a new chef . Good Day to everyone well it's nice to sit down again in a very unique restaurant visited the Blue Ribbon this morning 🌄 to eat some breakfast very clean place lots of room. The waitress where Wearing masks, friendly service look like they have homemade pies 🥧 they look so delicious. Well I ordered the Sunrise 🌅 breakfast 😋 with includes 2 eggs half ordered of biscuits and gravy and bacon 🥓 😋 and so go go go juice coffee ☕ toke few pics. So was very enjoyable place to have breakfast 😋 nice atmosphere 👌 👍 😀. food was good 👍 Overall its was a pleasant experience.
