As for the owner to begin, he seems sincere, good motel, does his best to work with people and has definitely done much to clean up the atmosphere and make the "shack town shacks" feel safer than before the new ownership but I can testify the staff still lacks integrity and honesty. I trusted the head maintenance person, being disabled, barely able to walk, on Christmas, with $50 .. didn't receive my purchase, only stories with his word he'd repay me. Now 2months later, more stories later, I still await my $50 so "sincerely " promised back- again, he'd never returned with unmentionable items nor receipt (store clerk assured me day later receipts to guest are required unless specifically asked to discard at purchase); I happened to have an irresponsibly generous spirit this last month and paid for a couple homeless people, separate occasions, to have shelter hence leaving my disability short for myself. Upon asking said employee for 5-$10 of what he owes me [$appx $60 now bc I had to trust him again for a $3 purchase with a 20 which I received $3 in change for and no receipt], he returned w a $5bill saying, ||"here, at least you're lucky to get something".||I spoke with management who asked me to write a complaint because not only did residents at this motel tell me said worker he did the same to them, they complained verbally to staff as well. So here is my official complaint that the maintenance staff is not to be trusted, even to help single crippled female renters. I have been taken advantage of and do not wish the same for another. I am on my death bed so I don't feel the need to pursue this, only to warn others of the deceit in the employees. I do not know if the owner requires drug testing but I would assume not and believe with the area of location and conversation w said employee, this may play a major role in mine and the other's who knew from Christmas day, what was done to me hence sharing their experience & concern. Other renters still ask if Chris has returned my money and reiterate they never received their money back either. An additional head's up so to speak, don't leave anything important or valuable ever in your room upon leaving to return.. I have had countless witnesses express their noticing the entry unto my paid for room with no contact to me and too, my finding articles of belonging mussed up and touched. ||Again, I think this not the owner but perhaps some too much slack and kindness rather on the part of the owner and truly believe this problem could be resolved in regular drug testing and thorough background checks of all present and future possible employees/ contractors. ||My experiences with theft and deceit here date back nearly a year however I had not been here for several months post my first experiences and said employee was able to put blame on a now fired employee that I at this point personally feel was most likely falsely accused. Beware of false smiles and pretty words.. I feel the face of the new Red Apple has been bludgeoned by a deceitful and conning employee. Great motel without a doubt but to stay more than a day or turn your back to your room, I would...
Read moreThis is my first last and only time ever going to stay at this hotel. It was definitely ghetto and overpriced for a broken down room ghetto room. I promise you this is a long post/review, but definitely read!!!
I was quoted one price on the phone, then when I arrived to check in it was $35 more than what I was quoted. (No it was not the security deposit. That was $50)
There were stains on the sheets… I went back to the front desk and no one was there. I waited in my car (it was snowing) for a good 25 min to see if anyone came to the desk but no one did. Thank goodness I had blankets and pillows in my car because hubby and I used them instead of the ones supplied.
The jacuzzi was quite dirty when I filled it up, thinking that it was clean, but it was not when I turned the Jets on again went back to the front desk and no one was at the desk still and this is a good hour and a half being at the room already.
So my hubby and I sucked it up and we figured with the area that the hotel is located in some things would be wrong, but this was just ridiculous, especially with the price changed upon arrival but anyway going to checking out. I placed all of their blanket’s and sheets, as well as pillowcases and towel’s in the middle of the bed and proceeded to check out of course housekeeping goes to check the room… which I did not realize that I had grabbed their Soft, brown blanket, which I also had a soft brown blanket that I had brought in that we had used our own Blankets and pillows but my blanket was brown and soft as well, so I had mixed the two blankets up. There blanket was just a little bit darker brown than mine. Swapped blankets, and then the housekeeper came to the front desk and told them that I damaged two sheets, a towel and a washcloth. I was charged for them items Which they would have known that they were already damaged if somebody was at the front desk doing their job. I then spoke to the manager on site and I explained to him the situation I was still charged so I stated that if I was going to be charged for these items that I was taking them with me. I then explained to the manager that I would take them home and wash them and bring them back and show him that whatever was on there could have been washed and whatever was on there would have came out. He then told me to come back before three they would wash them and if the stains came out that I could get my deposit back like what type of business is being ran here?!?!?! when I asked the housekeeper his name, he lied right to my face and said his name was David. It definitely was Brian because I heard the other man called him Brian He changed his name when I said I was contacted the BBB.
Like I stated sorry for the long review but definitely read everything before you even sign that paper. Check that room and go right back to the front and let them know if and what is wrong with that room. I’ll update everybody after I go back before three and let y’all know if I got my money back which...
Read moreEverything was AMAZING. I came in unexpectedly they was able to quickly accommodate me fore the time I was there. The service and employees are extremely helpful ,nice and they all go above and beyond with their jobs. Rooms are very very clean and comfortable. Quite, and safe. Locations is with in walking distance to so many places. Washer and Driers at the hotel. The washers and driers are really big, wash your clothes good and fully dries everything. If you need anything just ask they make sure to accommodate you . There is zero tolerance for any load noise or mayhem, they run a nice safe cozy comfortable hotel for over night to long stays. I have traveled and stayed in many hotels and this is by far the best I have ever stayed . Lots of cable channels, internet is fast all the time never did it lag or slow down. The hot water is always hot ,never run out of hot water. Bed and pillows so cozy you want want to get out of bed. You cant hear threw the walls. Someone has to be right in front of your room to really hear and I never seen this as a issue it was so quite all the time. This is the only place I found to even have number 1 coffee, it was fresh and well brewed all the time. Everything your looking for out of a hotel you will find here. I cant wait to go back again. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend them. I am extremely satisficed and wish I could give a 500 rating... I was here while the power outages hit the area and we had power the whole time we was never effected. Prices are really good especially for everything you get and is included. Great Home away from Home and even better then at home. I really hated to leave. I want to Thank all of You at The Red Apple Inn you all...
