We loved our stay as a family of 5.
The hotel smelled good upon entering, which is the first thing I notice. The evening attendant was polite and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. There were REAL, substantial trash bags in the trash cans, and the bathroom actually had one too (can't stand when there's no bathroom trash). The kids loved unwinding in the pool. I thought it was a little cool, but the kids said it was great. Pool towels were provided. The bathroom (106) had an unusual walk in shower with no door, but no water leaked out; my kids were fascinated. The hotel provided Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion; it was very nice. The remote was actually sanitized, along with an extra wipe! Breakfast was very good. There were multiple coffees, juices, milk, etc. There were cinnamon rolls, multiple kinds of breads and bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, omelettes, sausage, crispy bacon, biscuits and gravy, etc. The day attendant was just as helpful as the night attendant.
I'll include the very few negatives: I try to reserve rooms that include a couch for our youngest, and there was only one picture of the room, and a vague description of "sitting area." We carry extra bedding for this situation, but a few more pictures or details would make it easier for moms of three to know what they're getting. The pool was beautifully clear, but must have potent chemicals, because it made my kids hair feel like brittle straw. We fixed it by double conditioning. Other than those minor details, everything else we loved, and we'd...
Read moreI actually called to cancel my room and spoke with a young lady at the desk. She confirmed that my room was canceled and I was good to go. Two days later my card was charged, not once but TWICE! I called and the manager and owner asked if I had a cancelation number. I did not because I called and assumed that their stuff took care of me the day I called. They stated that unfortunately I was a no call/no show and could not refund my card. I have NEVER had such terrible service with a IGH/ Holiday Inn. I will NEVER EVER stay at that site again. The lady on the phone "Tonya" was incredibly rude. |Fortunately, I called my CC company. I told them the whole story and they credited my card immediately and they are stopping the charge on my card! (Thank you Southwest Visa). THEY have excellent customer service! They said that I should have been penalized because Holiday Inn's staff did not do their job properly by canceling my room!|I love love love Holiday Inn, but will never stay at the site in...
Read moreOn the positive side, the desk clerk Teresa was extremely professional, efficient and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. But I stopped to spend the night, with the intention of sleeping which was not possible in this hotel. I can only guess other positive reviews were from people who stayed when the hotel was mostly empty. The walls are so thin, I though people were inside my room this morning. The real problem started at 9:00 pm last night when it sounded like a sports team was in the room above me practicing. Practicing what? I don’t know, tumbling passes? Wrestling maneuvers? Weight training? It went on for 5-6 hours. The banging above me was so loud I was afraid someone would come through my ceiling. I called the front desk four times from 12:15 am to 2:30 am. Being on the road by myself for long hours requires sleep to safely drive and this hotel did not provide what I needed. The small room rate discount provided fell woefully short of a remedy or...
