Here's the good about our experience at this motel -
The location was great. There's some good businesses and restaurants within walking distance. The pool seemed nice, although we didn't have enough time to use it. They also have a few grills setup for guests to use, which was nice. The beds in the room were ok and clean. The areas in the bathroom that guests would commonly use, were very clean. The tv in the room was brand new and very nice. Unfortunately, that was about all of the good things.
Now for the bad (sorry, this is going to be long) -
For my girlfriend, my daughter, and I, in one room with two double beds, it was $150 a night (we only stayed one). At that rate, we were highly disappointed. Honestly, I've stayed in places that cost half as much and were twice as nice. The rooms are extremely outdated, which doesn't bother me, except when writing an honest review, these are things you should know.
The mini fridge smelled bad and barely worked, so we didn’t use it.
They microwave looked like it was from the 1970's and I wouldn't dare to use it.
While the beds were ok, the pillows were not. They were like little sacks that had a couple of small handfuls of cotton in them. We brought our own, which was good, because we never would have gotten any sleep on those.
The towels in the bathroom were mostly clean, although a few had brown stains on them and I don’t want to know from what. Half of the towels were also so old and used that they felt like t-shirt material. There were holes showing through the fabric, simply from the age and use of them. I had to be careful when drying off from the shower, because they had a list of everything they charge for damaged items in the room. At a $10 replacement fee, for a rag bath towel, I wasn’t going to chance it tearing.
There was no shower head. Instead, it was just an open pipe that shot the water out like a jet stream and was highly uncomfortable to use.
The toilet flushed extremely slowly and I let the manager know that it was like that when we went in the room. I didn’t want to chance being charged for something that we didn’t break. He told me that he already knew about it, because someone had flushed something in the room next to us a few nights before and it clogged the line. I would have imagined that a plumber would have been called, but nope. We used the toilet as sparingly as possible, since after 10:00pm, there was no one to call if it was clogged to the point of not being able to use it.
There was one small window in the bathroom, that had to be cranked open, which was fine, except that it was honestly disgusting. Years of dust, chipping paint, and rain had made the screen turn into something repulsive. To say that I was shocked it hadn’t been changed out, is an understatement.
The mirror over the bathroom sink was chipped in spots and stained somehow.
One last observation about the bathroom was the lack of a fan. When showering, the tile flooring became extremely slick from the condensation that built up from the shower. It wasn’t even hot, but condensation still gathered on the floor.
The air conditioner in the room was a tiny unit, which was fine, but it was held in with two pieces of wood, screwed to the wall. There were openings all around it to the outside, which in turn gave me no surprise when I found a few bugs crawling around the floors.
Paint on one wall was scuffed and chipping in a few spots.
The window drapes, facing the parking lot, had a few small holes in it and a big brown stain.
The only outlet by one of the beds, was behind where my head laid. Not below the mattress and box spring, but directly behind where my pillows had to be on the mattress, by the wall. I unplugged the light that was there, since I didn’t want to chance electrocuting my head during the night. If I had done so, I probably would have been charged for it.
There's A LOT more I want to say, but I'm limited to how long a review can be. Overall, not...
Read moreIf I could have the option to give negative stars I would. Worst motel I've ever been to! I booked this motel from Oct 9 - Oct 10 through booking.com, I paid fully & my booking was also confirmed.
On the day of my check-in I was driving from Vermont. Because of my Car problem, I was running bit late. I called the motel several times 6.30 pm, 7.30 pm & I explained my situation. The guy was not believing me & told me to come by 12 am. I mentioned that I am trying my level best & it may take 15 more mins & you can keep key in the door, I will take from there rather disturbing you. However, I reached in the motel at 12.10 am, only 10 mins late.
When I was very near by like at 11.15 pm & 11.30 pm, I again tried to call motel but no one picked up, then I left a voice message.
After reaching to the motel, I saw office was closed. I had to knock & the guy I talked over the phone came out & started yelling at us very rudely & saying that don’t knock, his Kids will wake up etc. etc. but believe me I knocked only 2-3 times softly. Looks like he was the owner & decision maker. He was not American for sure as he was able to speak Hindi language clearly.
See, how inhuman that person could be – Cleary he told, since you late for 10 mins your room has gone. My wife & I repeatedly requesting that guy politely, asking that at 12.10 am who will be giving me the room, but the guy was not listening to us at all, just avoiding us. We started looking nearby 4-5 hotels over the phone but all were booked, I requested that guy to arrange something but he just ignored us. Just imagine our situation - it was very cold outside, my wife & I standing outside, because of 10 mins late he was not allowing us to check-in.
After that I called 911, Cop came & tried to negotiate with that motel guy. When Cop talked to the motel guy, we came to know that he already sold my confirmed booked room to someone else, seems like he got a good offer. Then Cop started looking for some nearby hotels, but all were booked, he started searching something on Portland side too, but no luck. Finally Cop called Holiday Inn Express & they allowed us to park our car in parking lot & use restroom. Thanks a lot to the Cop & Holiday Inn Express!
Just imagine, even after my clear communication over the phone & 10 mins late from check-in time – my wife & I had to spent whole night in parking lot inside the car.
Just sharing my story here to make you aware & save you guys from such type of situations, specially the motel owner. Please be safe & stay away...

Before I start this review, I would like to state that I will try to stay unbiased and stick to just facts and not opinions. We booked 2 double queen rooms for 6 nights and 7 days.
Pros: Amazing crystal clear pool, Very friendly staff, Amazing location, Ice cold AC, Rooms were frequently upkept (during our stay)
Cons: Towel hook was not secured to the wall, toilet paper rack was not secured to the wall, SO MANY BUGS, moldy shower with terrible water pressure, curtains didnt cover full window, rooms unadjointed, no ice, no coffee maker.
The largest dealbreaker for me for this place was the toilets. The toilets (not just the seats) were so tiny it was basically impossible to do your business without going through physical pain. For someone who must use the toilet 3-7 times a day, this was an absolute nuscience to deal with, and almost made us go somewhere else once we found out about it. There was almost no consistency between the two rooms we booked. One had an ancient microwave with dials, one had a modern one. One room had a large mini fridge while the other had a fridge so small you could barely put in a few water bottles. One room was hardwood, one was carpet. One room had a better shower, the other did not. One major issue with this motel was the fact that the pictures online very poorly represent the rooms. The actual rooms we stayed in were nothing similar to any photo you see online. As a non smoking family with children growing up, being in a non-smoking room sandwiched between 2 smoking rooms basically defeats the purpose when you go outside and are met with secondhand smoke so frequently. On a slight side note, our whole family was woken up multiple nights by an obscenely loud cat that would just walk around the motel crying so incredibly loudly it was making us concerned for its health. Also, the kids really loved the pocket door for the bathroom (they had never seen a pocket door before!) I know the owner reads these reviews and I'm trying my best to give an excuse to give this place a higher rating. I know without covid there would be a lot more amenities and I bet the whole place would be in a different situation seeing as it was hit very hard. The best thing to keep in mind when booking this place is what you are paying for. If I had to rate this place just based on price alone, I would give it 5 stars immediately. I hope you find this review in good health and I wish you luck with the rest of your...
