Devon at the front desk, the breakfast lady, and the shuttle driver were all excellent, polite, and helpful. The rest of the staff seemed to have a lackadaisical attitude, which showed in a lack of attention to detail. There were some M&M's under the bed. The body wash dispenser was empty. The bathroom sink was partially closed, and the stem was broken, so there was no way to fully raise the plunger. Interacting with the other staff felt like we were inconveniencing them.
We had connecting rooms with two Queen beds, and the rooms were a good size, with Dish Network for the TV, which included a good selection of channels. The connecting room doors would not stay open, which was also an annoyance. The beds were comfortable, but they only have soft pillows. That was fine for us, but keep in mind if you are someone that likes a firm pillow.
The free breakfast was good - they had two waffle makers, several different juices, cereal, toast/muffins, and then each day they had an egg item, a potato item, and either bacon or sausage. The dining area would fill up several times throughout the morning, but they have an overflow room to ensure all guests are able to find a place to sit. We didn't enjoy the potatoes, they seemed to have a strange seasoning of some sort, but the rest of the breakfast items met expectations.
Flour Girl & Flame is a fantastic pizza shop a few blocks from the hotel. If your stay allows for it, we highly recommend them and suggest you check them out.
The hotel offers a free shuttle to the Brewers game, which we used during our stay. The shuttle holds 14 passengers, you need to get on the list for the shuttle the morning of the game, and they will give you a choice of several times to choose from. Be in the lobby 10-15 minutes before the scheduled departure time to ensure the shuttle is able to leave on time. The shuttle picks up at the same location you get dropped off, which is different from nearly all the other shuttles, and the shuttle driver will also give you a card with a phone number. You can use the number to call for the shuttle if you want to leave before the end of the game. There is only one shuttle, and it takes about 30-40 minutes for it to make a round trip, so keep that in mind while you are waiting for it. We found the different pickup/drop-off location for our shuttle nice since it was much less crowded.
I would have given the hotel a 3* rating but considering the primary purpose of our stay was the Brewers game, and considering the usefulness of the free shuttle, I bumped the...
Read moreI made a 2 night reservation here, from Friday night until Sunday. I checked-in on my Hilton Honors app like I always do as I usually travel with my dogs, and prefer to use my digital key when I'm experiencing a delay in my travel time. I arrived around 3:30 AM Saturday morning, and since my digital key malfunctioned I attempted to enter the lobby and make keys in person. The front desk was being tended to by a person by the name of David, and he was the rudest experience I've ever had at any Hilton hotel. He refused to unlock the front door for me, and told me multiple times that my confirmation was wrong. Even after I gave him my name, he simply stated that I should check the date and to come back that evening. About 4 hours later, on my drive back home to the Upper Penisula of Michigan, I received a couple live chat messages from him admitting his error. His rude behavior and the way he shrugged off my plea made me wonder if he should even be in any line of work concerning hospitality. I charged over $500.00 to my credit card for this stay, and the front desk wouldn't even let me into my room. I even sat in the parking lot until sun-up trying to cancel via the app and by phone call, as I was hoping for a refund for at least one of the nights. Never have I had this happen. I've stayed at Hilton hotels everywhere from the state of Wisconsin and along the I-90 East all the way to Maine on the East Coast. I travel this route multiple times a year, back and forth, and I have still never had this happen. I had plans to see a relative in Milwaukee for Father's Day. I would like to thank David for the 8 hours of traveling and exhaustion I had to endure...
Read moreBED BUGS! STAY AWAY!!! My BF and our baby were in room 306. Long story short I noticed a bug crawling on my leg at 4 A.M. I took pictures and notified the front desk immediately. She told me they were not bed bugs. Two days later, I called the hotel to say I really think they were bed bugs and I spoke to the GM. He informed me that our room did in fact have bed bugs. I am heartbroken, my 7 month old baby has bites all over his tiny body. It saddens me that they did not call me to inform me that they found bed bugs upon their inspection. ( I WAS THE ONE WHO NOTIFIED THEM).
I HAVE NEVER SEEN A BED BUG IN MY LIFE- so once she told me they were not bed bugs I didn't think much of it. For 2.5 days we had our luggage still fully packed in the living room, exposing our entire house. My baby boy has an additional 3 bites on his foot which has caused it to become inflamed. We ended up going to the Pediatrician's office and he is now on a topical cream. The hotel comped me both nights but refuse to help pay for the pest control fees I will rack up now. The GM told me that they pay $500 a room for bed bug removal.Imagine the cost of an entire house. I was quoted $1200 for my house. This is devastating. We went for a wedding and came back with bed bugs. I have also notified the health department. They need to inform their guest. This...
