Riviera Lanes — Local services in West Allis

Great place for a reasonably-priced date! Two years ago my boyfriend and I started bowling at Riviera Lanes because it was close to his house. Our first time bowling at Riviera was a nice time. Price to bowl and borrow shoes was very reasonable, cheaper than other places we have been to in Milwaukee. We were the only non-league players that night, and we had to wait a couple minutes, so we had a soda and then a lane became available. We had a nice time, had fun, and bowled there several times since then. The man at the register (the owner maybe?) recognized us as repeat customers and greeted us warmly and remembered our names. League folks hanging out afterward actually chatted with us and teased my boyfriend a little because I kicked his butt bowling 3 games in a row. Had a work event here and enjoyed the experience for the most part! Parking was easy in the adjacent lot.

Interior is what you'd expect for an older bowling alley, but that's part of the nostalgia, right?

Didn't love that you had to bother the staff to setup names on lanes, reset lanes, etc, seems burdensome for a bowling alley where they are also responsible for food, the bar, shoe rentals, etc.

Lanes were well kept, but score display screens above lanes need to be updated, you can't even see the score on some of them due to poor formatting.

After bowling at other houses for league I have found Riviera lanes is the BEST place to bowl and have family fun. The drinks are VERY COMPETITIVE, the staff there are Very Friendly and helpful.The after hours crowd is a family atmosphere not the RIF RAF you find at the other houses.
