I've been attending the fair for about 50 years. The experience never dissapoints.

There are many things to do, too many to describe.

We mainly go for the ample food options, live music and always stop for a glass of cold milk at the South grandstand entrance. Used to be be sponsored by Herb Kohl, across from the Exposition center.

I like the food they have at the Wisconsin AG products pavillion. The potatoes, grilled cheese and Usingers stands are a must stop. Plenty of other local food stands are also around.

Almost around the corner is the Giant Slide and the Kiwanis corn booth. I remember when the corn was roasted over charcoal grills, super hot work!

We wander about and end up in the large exposition center for some air-conditioning. You never know what you might find, from ever sharp knives (still have ours), a food chopper. Never stick pans or something for a friend or pet. Long gone are the original buildings which were very crowded and had no AC. They were along the West side of the park.

Our last stop is cream puffs. There is always a fight over the last one. Who gets it is solved by a rather contentious game of rock, paper, scissors. There is no proper nor glamorous way to eat them. Some like to take the top off and eat them open faced. I prefer to dig right in and capture escaping whipped cream as I go. You will likely wear some part of a cream puff so enjoy. Despite local legend they will survive a little travel should you accidentally have extra. A day, maybe 2 in the fridge but no more. I suppose they could be frozen but who has left over cream puffs? Not me!

Pick your day to go wisely. We go early in the day and exit around 4ish. On grandstand music nights the crowd will mirror whatever band is playing. We go during the week. There are also ticket deals for certain days. Tickets are now 18 per adult. Ouch but don't let that be the reason not to go!

I enjoy the fair and experience. I look forward with great anticipation to this...

We went again this year and had a blast. For those of you wanting to save a little money get your ride wrist bands and go on unlimited rides I think til 7pm. Get game tickets by the book. The prices for food drink n even something that is needed on a hot day like water is way to expensive. Even a refill is $3.50 and even if you travel by bus you can't bring anything in.

Me n my kids leave our home by 7:30am we take four buses and don't arrive til about 9:30. We all have issues maintaining blood sugar, my son sugar and salt. We all have issues with heat stroke, I'm allergic to bees, spiders n other bugs. We all have asthma and my kids have seizures. So we must carry medicine, snacks and drinks. Also when we leave by 7pm we have to ride four buses back and the drivers crank the AC so we bring sweat shirts and since my kids are also autistic I bring headphones and a music player for soothing. I'm trying to figure out why the ticket office will say stuff is ok to bring in however security will so no or maybe not. The website even says there is a certain size bag and no limit however security says I bring in too much. If there isn't anyone I can call n ask or talk to before entering without holding up the line and I can't take back home etc what do I do. Security staff etc please get on the same page, please consider that some people travel the way we do, have health issues etc. also need to entertain their kids while traveling. We also need to feed them and may not be able to get off the bus there or back and grab food food. Please adjust the rules on what we can come in with also the cost of food is crazy and a bottle water shouldn't be so expensive if u don't want people to...

Wisconsin State Fair Park was an absolute blast, and it's no wonder why it's a beloved tradition for so many people. This sprawling fairground offers an array of entertainment, food, and attractions that make it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the heart and soul of Wisconsin.

The first thing that struck me was the sheer size and organization of the fairgrounds. It's vast, yet well laid out, making it easy to navigate. The fair provides ample parking and efficient shuttle services for convenience. The atmosphere is filled with excitement and a sense of community that's infectious.

The fair also offer a diverse range of entertainment options. The live music performances, thrillling rides, and interactive exhibits kept me entertained throughout the day. It's an event that truly caters to all ages, with special areas for kids and families, showcasing the fair's commitment to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone.

The fairgrounds are clean and well-maintained, and the staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful. It's clearly that they take pride in preserving the fair's traditions and ensuring that visitors have a memorable time.

In summary, the Wisconsin State Fair Park is a vibrant celebration of all things Wisconsin. Whether you're a foodie, a music lover, a thrill-seeker, or simply looking for a day of family fun, this fair has something for everyone. It's an event that captures the essence of Wisconsin's culture and hospitality, and I can't wait to...
