You would be better off camping with a tent in a Walmart parking lot. By far my worst hotel experience ever. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my ex wife and I can't stand her. I included only a handful of photos of the issues I encountered. It all started off with me loading up a luggage cart with luggage for 9 people in 3 different rooms only to find out there isn't a single room you can get to with the luggage cart. Needless to say no part of this hotel aside from the front entrance is handicap accessible. What's the point in even having luggage carts other than just to annoy guest. On my way to my room I noticed a busted ceiling fan in the main lobby and multiple broken, smashed or dented in electrical outlets, not safe for children to be around. When I reached my first room the door handle came off in my hand. I was eventually able to get into the room that had a faucet that is just always on. It doesn't shut off for anything. We were moved to another room with a working door handle and faucet but it also came with a previous guests old rotting blue berries and hair tie. At this point I realized there is no use in complaining it's obvious that it is owned and run by a slum lord that refuses to put anything at all back into their business. So I decide I'm just going to take my family down for a quick swim before dinner and bed. As we walked into the pool area we were horrified at the condition of the entire swimming area. The pool water not only has a layer of dirt on the bottom but there are quite a few dirty floaters on the top along with demolished foam toys with many foam pieces floating along side the rest of the filth in the green water. That's right I said green water. It could just be me but I thought indoor swimming pools were supposed to be a clear with maybe a slight bluish tint to the water. Went back to the room exhausted at this point and just wanted to get this stay over with as soon as possible. The next morning went down for breakfast which is a complete joke. They had cereal but no milk, a waffle iron but no spray so you couldn't remove the waffle when it was done it just burns to it. Not one piece of fruit out, which has me quite confused at this point since I found someones rotting blue berries on the floor of my new room, maybe they use to serve fruit at one point. This was just one of the 3 rooms we had. My in-laws also had to move rooms because they put my handicap mother in-law on the second floor. Not that moving her to the first was really any better because there were still stairs to deal with just not as many. I wish I could give negative stars but instead I'll just have to settle for providing these photos of my less than below par experience. On our way back through we found a much nicer hotel in the same area for only $3 more per night but 1 million times better. This particular Days in is falling apart at a rapid rate they need to just bulldoze the entire place and leave it as an empty lot. Almost forgot about the overflowing trash that we saw immediately following check in that was still there after we checked out, same trash and all. If you see someone in a Day's in shirt don't just assume that because they are an employee that they will help you. Not the case at all. In fact if you ask a question about something they will look you dead in the eyes then turn around and in a blatantly obvious way just ignore you...

We arrived at this hotel to check in at 1:00 am, Wednesday, December 19th, 2018. When we entered the hotel, no one appeared to be at the front desk. After a few minutes and us saying hello, someone finally came out and started checking us in (Harry). He was talking/mumbling so quiet we had to ask him to repeat information multiple times. He made us feel as if we were interrupting him or inconveniencing him in some way. After the grueling check in process we began walking to our room and he says "I didn't know you had a dog". We were at the counter for at least 10 minutes and the ESA was with us the entire time. He made a comment that we were "hiding" said ESA (she was plainly in clear sight with us in the lobby at the front desk, on camera as well and the reservation that should have been noted and confirmed with my fiances phone call hours previous to our arrival). When he asked for the ESA paperwork, I gave it to him and he said, "This isn't real." I said; "excuse me sir?" He said; "anyone could just make this up, I need to see the plastic card". He further implied that I was committing fraud and asked questions about my disability that were in direct violation of The Americans with Disabilities Act. He then told us it would have to be handled by the owner because "it's not how we do things here." He then threatened that we couldn't stay because of the ESA, needing a deposit and then as we were explaining to him the severity of his mistake and the need of an immediate refund, he dropped the conversation, handed our keys, our photo IDs and said where our room was on the second floor, exhausted and road weary we headed up stairs and decided to deal with the issue in the morning.
He handled our check in completely unprofessionally and illegally. He was rude to my fiance and I and after accusing us of "lying", forging documents, fraud, and violating my rights, I really have had a hard time accepting that after traveling 1700 miles in 3 days in 2 cars halfway across country and making plans ahead of time with our reservation to stay at your hotel this was our reception as paying "guests".
I contacted the front desk the next morning regarding my experience. We spoke with a different woman (Heidi, who has tried to empathize to the extent of her position) who gave us this email to contact in order to resolve this grievous rights violation. After receiving a response from Days Inn, they offered an apology and noted their staff would be undergoing training on ESA and Service animals. They also offered to "refund 1 day of our stay" and not include a charge for our ESA animal which felt like a slap in the face considering the way we were handled by the rude and disrespectful employee on our check in. To anyone reading this from Days Inn, read and understand the local laws of Service animals and ESA Animals before you discriminate against people with Disabilities.
As far as our refund for 1 day of a 7 day stay, pathetic. We arrived at 1:00 am and were still charged for the previous day, which we didn't get to enjoy because of circumstances out of our control. I do not recommend this hotel chain to anyone, as well as never booking with them in the future. Case and point, make things right if that's truly your intention....
Read moreI rented a room for a mini stay-cation for me and my 2 children. checking in on March 27 check out March 30th. once we got to our room I noticed that in my double queen room had only 2 bath towels 1 wash cloth 1 floor towel and 1 hand towel. which I just went with it no big deal as I knew that I could ask the front desk for more when needed. As I walked into the room further and tried to turn on the lights 2 of the lights in the room would not turn on. the desk light and the light above the mirror. the kleenex holder was cracked and broken and no Kleenex was provided there. The heat lamp in the bathroom did not work i also had blood stains on 2 of the sheets had blood stands on them. the other beds sheet and blanket had stains that im assuming were pee stains. before making the reservation i had called to make sure that the pool would be available for use. i was informed that it was indeed open for use. But after checking in and trying to take the children to the pool the worker on duty stopped us from entering saying the pool needed to cleaned and it would take about and hour and a half to do so. no problem i get it has to be done. but when the hour and a half was up we were told it would be another 25 mins and then it would be ready...this went on until almost 9pm when we were finally able to go swimming. when we got into the pool area I had seen that there wasnt any pool towels out for use and was told that we would have to use the towels that were provided with our room. this morning when returning the wet towels to ask for a could dry ones the guy at the front desk informed me that because one of the towels had red on it from my red hair that i would have to pay the 8$ for the damage of the towel...when I questioned this considering the issues that I had with my room upon check in how that was fine and but this towel was damaged and i needed to pay for it to be replaced even though i know that they were going to bleach and wash this towel and let another guest use during their stay i was told i should have said something at check in so they could write a note for the worker that would be working the day of my check out. so regardless i was going to have to accept these issues for my entire stay...but had to pay for a towel that they will wash and reuse..I will not stay at this establishment ever again and will let others know not to stay here due to these issues a long with the rude staff working. 0 out of 10...
