Well they have updated which is the only good thing about this place. A few months ago a Hispanic lady who is in her early 40s got defensive when I asked if she could please make sure my order was right because they messed it up a few days ago. She insisted she couldnt have messed it up, continued to bombard me with questions about what time, what it was, and tried telling me she was working so she knows i didn't try calling to complain that day. I've tried calling this place multiple times when they mess up an order. Don't expect someone to pick up! The phone line rings and rings and rings. She tried accusing me of wanting to get free food. Um no!! I was just asking if you can make sure it's right this time. When I spend my hard earned money, I expect what I ordered. Its that simple. Fast forward to today when 2 Hispanic workers, one short mid 20's, one tall mid 20s, were rude. When I place an order and you guys get it wrong, and I have to drive 10 minutes back and then another 10.minutes home, I expect to get a full refund AND the item that was missing. For my time and gas. I shouldn't even have to ask for the refund. It should be common sense. Then they muttered something as I pulled off. I was apologetic. I wasn't rude. I told them I hope they understand because I have to do 20.minutes in driving , I have an upset kid at home waiting for their meal, and we all didn't get to eat together as a family. We get fast food once in a while, on days where I have worked 10 hours and days where we just want to grab some food so I don't have to cook, I just expect it to be correct. And if it's not correct, maybe apologize and don't look at me like I'm stupid for being upset. It's not just about messing up, it's about the customer service. SMH. I really hope people quit giving this franchise their business. They never seem to make anything right and their employees got attitude problems. And to the lady who got rude with me, she started speaking in Spanish talking about I'm a little brat and I don't need anymore food.. I'm Mexican, I speak Spanish. I could understand you. Read moreI visited the BK located at 1107 73rd Street in Des Moines today (Saturday, July 3rd at 10:30a.m.) I do not have the store number, but I do hope you pass on my feedback to the Store Manager, the District Manager and even the Regional Manager if possible.
There was a line out of the parking lot for the drive thru. It was crazy busy. I decided to wait bc I wanted to try one of those new chicken sandwiches. There was a gentleman who came outside to flip the menu board and was asking the ppl in line whether we wanted breakfast or lunch. I don't know if he was a manager or not, but he was dressed differently from the other employees (black button down shirt). I'm hoping he was the manager bc if he's not, he should be. He was directing the other (obviously new) employees and he was doing a heck of a good job. My food was hot and fresh and when I asked for onion ring sauce he already had it in my bag. He had a great smile and was super friendly. It's so nice to see smiles again without masks.
I only write to you so that he will hopefully be recognized for doing such a wonderful job with handling high volume and training staff -would hire him in a New York Minute! I only wish I had gotten his name..... Thanks for reading and keep up...

Had to go through the drive through and told them I ordered online and just picked up and my food was wrong, I told them I wanted what I ordered and I wanted a refund. I got to the window and he was very rude. He gave me a small refund, I went to drive away and checked how much he gave me. Went back and he was arguing with me and told me to give him all the food back and he would give me the refund. I told him no. I wanted to talk to a manager. There was another person there he was talking to in Spanish, I told him to speak in English so I could understand what he was saying. He told me to give him the food and he would refund me. I told him no. I wanted to talk to his manager. He’s not here he said. After arguing with him for awhile longer he gave me the rest of the refund.
