We are traveling contractors who stayed at multiple hotels for this 10-day tour. Since we had several jobs nearby, we decided to treat ourselves with what we felt should have been "upscale executive" accommodations for a few days since they were the most expensive rooms in the area, but we feel we did not get what we paid for.
Pros: They had same day rooms available. The sheets were clean. It was the farthest hotel in a group of executive hotels from the interstate on this exit so it was quieter. It was near Waffle House (just across the interstate). The laundry room had two working washers and dryers.
Cons: We noticed after checking in that another guest had put a towel above the indoor pool's interior hallway door to allow their kids to enter and exit the pool area freely so the whole first floor smelled like chlorine. Only one of two elevators were working during our stay, and we made it a game that the same candy wrapper we noticed on the floor of the one working elevator upon checking in was still there upon checking out. Half of the parking lots' lights were not working so we had to move our work van to the opposite side of the lot for improved security for the rest of our stay. The cook was a no show due to a family issue and apparently no one else was available or willing to cook, so no breakfast was available on first day; the bacon was under cooked (very limp) and the guest plates were dirty on second day. Our bathroom door opened into our 3rd floor hotel room's entry area instead of into the bathroom, so several times the entry door hit the bathroom door as one person entered the room while another person was already in the room therefore I had to wrap my arm around the hall door to push the bathroom door closed while stuck in the hall (extremely annoying). When we did close the bathroom door to get to the hall door, the bathroom door stuck so we had to pull hard to open it. There was no bathroom vent fan that came on with the bathroom light so smells from toilet use and shower humidity stayed in the hotel room a long time. The mini-fridge's interior upper section was iced over. There is no sign posted nor did the front desk mention it at check in, but they are still on an internal Covid cleaning schedule of every 4 days, which we discovered after we removed our "do not disturb" door hanger one morning and found after returning from a hard day's work that our room had not been serviced during the day; I had to fetch new towels from the front desk. After my shower, we found the condensate drain in the Ptac HVAC in the 4th Floor room above us clogged which made our room's ceiling and sitting area's carpet soaked; the front desk night clerk did bring us new key cards for a new assigned room luckily on the same floor and said she would be relocating the upper floor's guests as well, but it still meant we had to get redressed for public viewing, pack up our items, and move down the hall. I saw there was a floor fan at the end of the 4th floor in front of the Ptac HVAC unit so their service crew is slacking on maintenance all over. We won't be...
Read moreI stayed in February and completely “spaced” writing a review bc I contracted COVID from my room.
Travelled from TX and had a rocky check in experience (oh btw Hilton staff, good luck referencing my reservation bc even though I gave the front desk girl my ID she still got my name completely wrong). I arrived around 10pm and had been on the road for hours. I essentially got to my room and flopped onto the bed, to wake a couple of hours later and see that the bathroom was dirty. I thought this was weird bc my bed was made.
I had one towel, one washcloth, one packaged soap…and water stains and toothpaste caked in sink and counter. Hair in shower drain. I thought the toilet was full of pee but realized that the water was just yellow…so much for getting some tap in a cup to quench thirst. Possibly old pipes or just bad local water. Either way, ick. THEN found my trash can…several used COVID tests in there (see pic). Freaked out and checked the pillow I had been using…NOT my hair on it but hair there nonetheless. Also hair UNDER the made bedding. Someone clearly made this bed without changing the sheets. I don’t know if there was a mix up in turn down service but judging on a ton of the other reviews, just crummy staff. Trash in hallway was overflowing (on a Thursday). Definitely a musky smell and dirty hallway carpets; stinky elevator. I slept on top of the bedding and used my clothes as pillows. In the morning I approached the breakfast area and was told it was $14 to purchase. I scoped out a single table partaking in it, complaining to each other before tossing it in the trash and opted out.
Holiday Inn express, Marriott, La friggin Quinta offer free breakfast with delicious pastries and fresh fruit and you guys are slinging watery eggs and slimy sausage links for $14?!
The most frustrating part: I let the staff know about my room and showed them the picture (two women in their 30’s/40’s). I was already behind schedule and had to leave. No one offered me a refund or even a discount…they tried to SELL ME REWARDS PROGRAM then held me up so they could take a picture of my picture of the trashcan on my phone for “their manager”.
When I got to my destination I called the hotel several times asking, then demanding to speak to a manager…to find out one didn’t exist. There was “no manager and no one to escalate” my call to. Within the next few days I became sicker than I’ve ever been in my life…and tested positive for::DRUM ROLL:: you guessed it: COVID. I always use sanitizer after using a gas pump and had little to ZERO interaction with anyone before, during, and after my move.
AFTER WEEKS and almost a month of calling this location I got ahold of someone in marketing who refunded my disgustingly overpriced room in under five mins. I wish I remembered her name bc she deserves a dang raise.
In conclusion…yall need a serious overhaul. I’ve worked in hotel management and the hospitality business for years. If I were corporate I’d fire the lot of ya, shut down, remodel and rebrand with an entire new staff. These bad reviews are costing ya more money than the...

The parking lot was really full, so I knew they would be fully booked or close. My 9 daughter and I arrived just after midnight and attempted the check-in on the app. The digital key could not be delivered. . .no biggie. I went to the front counter, and our 2 Queen Bed room was not ready.
The nice desk attendant went up to check into why. However, after returning, he said he had to attempt to break into the room. The other attendant offered us some water and asked if we needed anything while we waited. After a while, the first one came back and said he would have to find us another room. He found one, a single king with a pull out couch. I thought, great! That will work!"
We get up to the room, get settled in, and realize there weren't any spare sheets, blankets, or pillows for the pull-out mattress for my daughter. Again, no biggie, I just went down and asked for some.
The halls were extremely loud for a hotel after midnight. It sounded like a high-school aged party or something. Not a problem. . .my room was far enough that we'd sleep just fine.
Again, the desk attendants were nice, apologetic, and accommodating, although none if the issues were their fault. They gave me sheets and a blanket but had no extra pillows. No big deal . . . I could give my kid one of the 3 on the bed.
When I returned to the room, my daughter had found liquor bottles under the pull-out mattress and a pacifier by the nightstand. She asked me to check the tub to let her know if she HAD to shower in that shower or use the toilet. After checking, I realized the tub was gross with hair and something red all over the sides. And the toilet just had brown water, probably just the color of the city water.
I told her just to make sure she didn't touch anything without using one of the clorox wipes we brought and to leave her socks on at all times she is not in bed. The wipes were brown after wiping surfaces, and our socks had a whole new color on the bottom by the time we left.
As we left, to check out, I stopped by the front desk to let them know about everything I had found, and she was very apologizetic despite none ilof it being her fault either.
I know they were booked, stressed, and had a lot going on, but we're still friendly and accommodating. However, we will not be staying for the week long stay we had planned to visit family.
The nice staff were Rick, James, and...
