Queens Lodge Motel — Hotel in West Palm Beach

I stayed here on a Friday night. I got bit by something around midnight, thinking it was mosquitoes I went back to bed since my boyfriend hadn't moved. Around 7 a.m. I jumped from getting bit again. I know Florida has a problem with bed bugs so thats the first thing came to mind. I went to the desk to complain. The lady said she would come check. By the time I got back to the room I saw a bedbug crawling on the bed. I killed it and set it in the ashtray for her to see and went back and told her. They brushed off my concerns because she didn't see anything. But she did see streaks of blood on the sheets that is evidence of bedbugs. They told me there was nothing they could do because we stayed the entire night. I haven't been aloud to talk to the so-called general manager that she lied and told me would be there today Monday 1/18/16 from 9:30-4. But she said he said the same thing. I told her no offense but I want to talk to him. She gave me another office number but we kept talking and she started to get rude and sarcastic and refused to regive me the number and hung up on me. I called back and she hung up on me again and told me do what I want but quit calling her. As I tried to explain to her I don't want anything free but y'all could address my concerns and give me something back. She said two families have stayed in that room since with no complaints after telling me Saturday morning the room would be shut down all weekend for pest control to check it out but they rented it twice meaning they rented Saturday after the original complaint and Sunday. Now that doesn't sound right ro me. I would not spend another dime with this establishment and I plan to call Better Business Bureau and file a complaint against them as soon as they reopen tomorrow morning.I am vert angry and disappointed in this being that we have stayed there a few times I feel my complaint should have been taken seriously. I have horrible itchy reddish, purple welts up both my arms, back, and my side. This is not acceptable.

So when checking in the gentleman at the desk was personable and helpful. As far as my room, the first thing I noticed was a huge ball of hair in the middle of the floor, and after drawing my attention to floor, you could visibly see the carpet had not been vacuumed. The trash can had not been emptied from whom ever stayed before myself. I always check sheets when I stay in motel/ hotels (especially because most places do not wash duvet or comforter after each Tennant) I folded back the comforter which was again visibly dingy on the underside, but the worst part for me..... ROACHES! When I put comforter back in it's place a couple roaches scattered off the BED! Then I noticed they are everywhere... Even worse there are so many little tiny ones. I then tried to go and ask the guy at the desk about a refund, and he was very quick to say NO, No fefunds....he said why what's wrong? I told him about the roaches and all he really did was shrug his shoulders and give me the sorry for your luck face. 150$ I paid for this room....I couldn't even bring my belongings in due to not wanting to take roaches home with me. All I can say is I hope who ever is working in morning at check out has a better response because...

The owner of this hotel or the guy at the front desk after I paid for the room but it was in my wife's name and it was 10:00 at night and all I asked was for him to fix the AC which was broken all day and my wife didn't know to tell who to fix it and when I can't off of work and I asked him to fix it he's like where's your ID and then he's telling me he's kicking me out if I'm not registered for the room even though he knows I'm with my wife and her name's register for the room and I paid for it and he knows it and then he's calling the cops to try to get me kicked out stuff this hotel is very unsanitary they're not put together or how do you say it's not organized Hotel they are trying to use the girls that walk the streets to have fun with they go around pretending to be something they're not these people at Queens Lodge are the only drugs and doing all kinds of crazy stuff in their hotel and they're getting away with it somebody needs to do something about it they need to...
